Nobody cares about grammars and speling...

Maybe I am being trolled, but frankly, I don't care. In general, small school wrestlers live in small towns, which means they do not have access to the kinds of training and competition resources available at a bigger school in a bigger town. If you take a look at the club circuit (on a normal year) it is easy to see that a young athlete form a small town has to go to much greater lengths to simply compete than one from a large area. Additionally, at a larger school, you are significantly more likely to have people right in your own room who are quality athletes, thus capable of helping you improve. These are two examples of why wrestling in a smaller school is very much a different "game" than wrestling in a larger school. Moving to a two-class individual tournament would allow wrestlers to compete in an arena where the preparation opportunities are significantly more equitable. If I didn't kill the thread before, it is likely fully dead now.

It's one device per login. You can have all 4 mats active each on a different tab. But I can only cast one mat at a time to my TV. Its not hard to switch mats, just have to figure out how your own configuration works. So many different possibilities, its hard to help someone do it, not knowing all of their devices.

145 is sick and makes me a little sick.. May should cruise first round and Garcia will have a challenge from Lody. Ticket Round will be #6 May vs Garcia #9. Terrible draw for both. May is the favorite. However, I would never bet against a Garcia at Semi-State or State. When Garcia was a frosh he beat the pickers and made it to state. I took Blaze in my pickems. He has battled Reynolds, Watson, and Oliver the past two weeks. I take nothing away from May though. IMO, he has the best practice partners in the state and I am a big fan of F.C. #3 Watson vs #8 Hayhurst (Hayhurst has #22 Reynolds first round) in the other Ticket Round match and these four are all in the top bracket! I picked Hayhurts in the pickems but everyone else picked Watson. CG has a great program and Watson has a great practice partner in Rust. Hayhurst lost last year at Semi State to Rioux by 3 and Dalton by 4. Two studs! Hayhurst face Semi State champ Stroud Friday night. He was up 5-1 in the match and Stroud came back to win 7-5 in OT. Watson was one point away from making it to the championship match against Mendez and ended up placing 3rd at 132. A feat in and of itself. May, Garcia, Watson, and Hayhurst could all place top 8 under different circumstances. #24 Gilles/ #17 Oliver winner will face #14 DuPont. These three lucked out with a great draw. One of them will punch their ticket. I picked Gilles but wouldn't be surprised to see Oliver win it as well. #18 Newman and #16 Otte will be a battle of two talented seniors. The winner gets #1 ranked Reynolds. The good thing is the winner of Newman and Otte will likely be the alternate to the state finals. Is this the toughest weight at any semi state? 11 ranked wrestlers..

I believe Gilbert has won 2 of the last 3 over Ross, including the last 2. Is it Ross' turn again or has Gilbert figured him out going forward. Agree on Williams. 145 gives me headaches trying to figure out how it will finish!

I'm going to buy the trackwrestling package and watch from the living room. Beer and nachos are cheaper and I can have all I want! Only problem is the ref can't hear me yelling at him... Then again I'm not sure they ever could and if they did I don't think it would matter much!

If you open up a separate browser and sign into each mat you can watch them all. The years I haven’t attended state in person I would have all 4 mats going at once on my laptop and connected that into my big screen TV. After I messed around a little with the browser dimensions I had a mat going in each corner of the screen. Then you just have to decide what audio you want to listen to and mute the others.

It was 7-5. I had to go back and look it up. I can't forget Ferguson's 1st Round match at State against Jeremiah Reitz. Reitz was coming off a State Title and Ferguson was out most of the season until the tournament. Ferguson started strong and was up 13-2 after the 2nd period, but ran out of gas in the 3rd. Reitz outscored him 11-4 in the 3rd period as Ferguson's only points came on allowed escapes. Final score Ferguson wins 17-13. One of the best Friday night matches I can recall.

This match could be a battle of rankers! The Mooresville Regional is tough, super tough, super duper tough and that creates some bad first round draws. This is one where we have #2 Cole Ross vs. #10 Caleb Wyss of Franklin. Wyss would be favored in some other quarter brackets but due to the depth of the Regional he gets Ross right out of the gates. Alec Freeman and Kyson Montgomery are pretty consistent, methodical killers and Ben Dalton is all; his mullet, his style and his smile are all contagious. Any of these three dudes can get it. Not a great draw for the Giant! Keep an eye on one more match, Columbus East Olympian Kade Law was upended last year in the ticket round for Jordy Fulks. Then don't complain when the rankings aren't as you wish they were. If you don't report the result then you can't blame the rankers for missing something. All of the rankers do a fantastic job of compiling information from hundreds of kids. Missing one result isn't the end of the world.

East Chicago has 68 state ranked wrestlers. Fort Wayne has 71 state ranked wrestlers. New Castle has 88 state ranked wrestlers. Jasper has 103 state ranked wrestlers. --however-- East Chicago has 27 wrestlers ranked in the top 8. Fort Wayne has 12 wrestlers ranked in the top 8. New Castle has 29 wrestlers ranked in the top 8. Jasper has 37 wrestlers ranked in the top 8. --HOWEVER-- East Chicago has 5 #1 ranked wrestlers. Fort Wayne has 1 #1 ranked wrestler. New Castle has 5 #1 ranked wrestlers. Jasper has 3 #1 ranked wrestlers. These numbers probably aren't exact but I think it gives accurate enough to start forming an argument on which semi-state is the toughest, it really all depends on how you judge the toughness of a semi-state. If you go purely by ranked wrestlers, there could be a semi-state with a lot of lower ranked wrestlers, but more overall than a semi-state with less ranked wrestlers but more quality wrestlers. And of course, if you go strictly by the amount of champs that a semi-state produces, there's an argument to be made there too.

The food is sure to be reasonably priced though.

The brackets aren't based on rankings. They are based on Regional placement and the luck of the draw. It just works out that way sometimes.

WOW some of these brackets are a joke! 195 has 3 of the top 4 in semi-State rankings on one side of the bracket. Someone needs to learn how bracketing works!
