Vest over Bohn was a good match. Bohn came out strong and got the first takedown. Second period, Vest on bottom gets the escape, Bohn takedown, Vest escape, Bohn up 4-2. Third period Bohn chooses bottom and gets put on his back. Vest didn't get him pinned, but the 3 put him up 5-4 for the win.

You just show up and pay the fee at the door. I can't remember if it's $30 or $40. They didn't put it on their flyer. Everyone who qualified is already "registered" but not actually in the tournament until they show up, pay, and weigh in. Elijah can't seem to get a break with the draws. (We know that feeling) Great kid who has worked his butt off every year to get to State. Hope to see him on the podium this year.

Slightly biased, but honorable mention goes to 2020 NCSS 113- Dylan Driver vs. Kody Glithero. Glithero was coming off a huge win over Cottey the week before and was heavily favored to win. First period: 0-0. Second period: Glithero chooses bottom, gets the escape 1-0. Third period: Driver choses bottom, gets a reversal 2-1. Driver had Glithero on his back, but no back points. Should have been 2 at least. Rides Glithero out for the remainder and wins 2-1. Draws Mater Dei Cole Ross Friday night.

Vest-Reyes will be a close one. Could go either way. They are 1-1 this season. First match Vest 3-2, 2nd match Reyes 6-1, but I think Vest has this one. Burgett and Platonov have wrestled 3 times this season. Burgett is up 2-1, but all 3 have been 1 point matches. Platonov won Regional over Burgett 1-0. I tip it to Platonov. 182 has #12 Tilton vs. #8 McDonald in the ticket round. Definitely some tough 1st round matches as well. A few brackets have senior against senior first round, and a lot of tough ticket rounds.
