Okay, let me start off with four premises: 1) I'm a homer for Southport, 2) I'm not the person who posted about love for Southport & Franklin Central (but good for them), 3) I am fully aware Southport is not in Perry's constellation (or Brownsburg, MD, Warren, Roncalli, Franklin Community, etc), 4) And most importantly, I do not want to start a flame war. That said, I noticed that Fishers and Franklin Central made the overall ranking at 19 and 20 (Fishers beat Franklin Central 35-32). And again, good for them. But, I want to point out that against common opponents at last weekend's New Castle Duals, Southport was the better of the two. Perhaps they were missing some wrestlers, but nevertheless the scores below might be instructive. I'm not trying to take anything away from Fishers or Franklin Central, but just asking for a measly point or two of consideration for Southport.

Say what you want, but Hawkins is the MVP of this team.

Maybe Bluemonster can start doing New Castle team rankings. I’m sure Southport would be ranked top 10.

Yes, Mishawaka should break the streak tonight against a rebuilding Penn team . I wish I were wrong , but Mishawaka has some serious senior studs on their team . Walker , Laplace and Thomas. It could be 15-18 points for Mish with just those three .

Who cares. I didn’t have a dog in the fight. I don’t recall making a prediction. As matter of fact I have never predicted an EMD or Avon wrestler or team to win or lose (ever). See I’m a person who gives to kids. I would help an EMD kid just the same as a Avon or Brownsburg kid. As matter of fact, I have been a team leader and / or coach on multiple national teams that have had current EMD wrestlers on them. See I don’t predict wins or losses because I know what these kids go through to be great. I hate to see any of them lose. If you actually knew anything about anything, you would know that. With that said... Another Ill informed and ridiculous post. Just stop before someone finds out who you really are and you look like even a bigger idiot.

Not sure where Crown Point gets its drinkin water. But man deem dogs are Purdy impressive. With all deem youngins dare gonna be Purdy tuff for a while. Nice too see them seeking out good compitions. da rat thought dare better days were behind them. The coaching staff is top notch - like da macho man says " da cream of da crop"

Welp, tonight's the night. I know nobody outside the #NorthLands cares, nor should you..but might this be the night the Cavemen break the streak? I have no idea how long that streak is, but I'm sure Y2 can point me toward somewhere on this site to find out! Will be interesting to see how the Mish lineup shakes out. GO PENN!!

Typically, if you both finished 5-0 on the day and obviously didn’t wrestle head-to-head, they will add up all of your team points and the one with the most is declared the winner.

No, I'm not challenging or even remotely criticizing the rankings. It's certainly feasible that Fisher &/or Franklin Central would beat us in a dual, but they might not. What I have is what you see at the top of this post. I am sure there are defensible positions as to why Fishers and Franklin Central were ranked and we weren't. I'm just pointing out what I see, nothing more, nothing less. For all I know there are many deserving teams that should be considered above us (or above Fishers and Franklin Central). The rankers do a great job, and I certainly understand you can't please everyone (sometimes anyone). This was not intended as a criticism of the rankers. What I do know is where there is a lot of noise signal can go unseen.

H!. I wish we could, but we have county, and the coach isn't particular inclined to my suggestions I know a number of the wrestlers on Fisher, they're good kids. I didn't and don't want my post to be misconstrued as maligning their accomplishments. I definitely root for your 106 through 126 whenever I can (except, of course, against our kids). Hey, they're all CIA alums.

Not sure about running the tables, maybe he means the trackwrestling table, dunno...but what I find ironic/hilarious is he "edited" the post...you know, the post with minimal punctuation and random caps. Musta misspelled Avon or something and it bothered him! I kid, of course, Shawski…keep doin' ur thang. @Coach Nieman gonna have a blast with this one based on his your and you're fixation!

Region Rat, I agree with Ayersman. Maybe due to climate change or change in lax EPA laws or just a strong south wind. But now there's more of that infamous Steel Mill and Oil refinery pollution/smog, that has that special power of toughening up the lungs and making studs, and now is reaching Crown Point and its making them tough. Or it also could be adding Scott Hinkel to their coaching staff.

Crown Point wrestling completely changed when they hired Cosgrove. The program will be one of the best in the country before long.

Respectively no. Cp tremendously out ranks Warren in most of the weight classes and so does brownsburg. I mean Cp beat a nationally ranked team.

gonna be a dog fight this weekend, great match ups, good wrestling to watch. dogs pushing one another, I wager a dog team win:) The cats will be left behind mewing and fawning over one another on forum posts.
