Guess I'll stop by John Cougar Mellencamps' on the way. Funny coincidence, his childhood home just got approval to be turned into a permanent AirB&B. Sadly though there is no direct roads to Evansville from the “Small Town”. So you still have just over a 2.5 hour drive to Ford Center from there. And watch that time change. But the General can just go past “The Cougars” adult residence there to save him some time.

This will be my first time on the banks of the Ohio river and need to keep my figure. Will be interesting how the Ford Center staff will handle shaking down everyone at the gate, can't wait to see some Region Rats go off as they get frisked and told they can't bring in a pack of gum even... might be worth the $25 Ford Center box of popcorn to watch... Hopefully the Ford Center staff lightens up, they open more entry points and modify the outrageous concession prices. After the EvSS this year, made a deal with myself that was the last time visiting Evansville... I imagine the live stream prices will be even higher than the price of a Ford Center hotdog and Coke, but at least only have to pay that once... On a parallel note, did IHSAA agree to move the southwestern semi state out of Evansville for 2023? Bloomington would be perfect, btw... I could be totally wrong here, but don’t the Ford Center and Gainbridge Fieldhouse have the same security rules? I’ve went to both this year and they seemed the same. Prices on everything seemed the same as well. Cricket21 and IU89

Ahawkeye
Turoni's pizza ( 2 locations in Evansville and one in Newberg close by) Mr. B's pizza and wings relatively cheap but good Wasabi hibachi Grill is pretty good Pizza King (get the stromboli!) Bandana's bbq (not LOCAL but somewhat regional) Texas Roadhouse is better than Logan's (again not local but just a heads up I would skip Logan's) You have to get donuts from Donut Bank Yen Ching Szechuan you have to try the crab rangoon. The girl dancing in the vid is John’s wife. This part of the video was shot in Uniontown, IN just outside Seymour. She borrowed a Jennings County Panther’s high school cheer outfit for the vid. ReformedPoster
Los Bravos (multiple locations) Hilltop Inn (if you are adventurous get the brain sandwich) Donut Bank Comfort by Cross Eyed Cricket (comfort food right just down the street from the ford center) Roof Top bar and grill just north of the Ford Center on MLK Cavanaugh's (a little more upscale steak place at the casino) Zuki (hibachi/sushi place on main st) Gerst Haus on Franklin Smitty's on Franklin Just my opinion, but the Pizza king on St. Joe and Franklin has gone down hill and isn't nearly as good as it used to be All sorts of chain restaurants on the east side if you stay out there.
