EMD Vs BB

With what BB pulled off this weekend Vs a top ranked team, how much have they separated themselves from EMD?

I know it’s early and EMD can also make some noise. But to see what BB did is just a statement in my opinion.

2nd part:

How would this team fare Vs the 2004 EMD(not sure if it’s already been a topic)

In conclusion: WOW! BB is stacked folks. Add the solid wrestlers that went from 1/2 of the #county to solidify 1 team, they’re dominant and I can’t wait for SS.

Brownsburg is indeed stacked, but today's results don't tell us anything.  BB didn't wrestle a top ranked team, they wrestled a tournament with several good/excellent teams from Michigan.  The same tournament Mater Dei won in 2018.  Brownsburg has finished 3rd, 3rd and now 1st there.  That's not meant to take anything away from BB.  I said earlier in another thread I felt they were the best team in the Eville SS.  But MD hasn't wrestled their full lineup yet and is just coming off Football State.  So while we can surmise that BB is likely better, this weekend didn't really tell us anything more than what we already knew.

Davison, Michigan- ranked 8th in the country - isn’t a top ranked team. 🤔

I think you did mean to “take something away” from Brownsburg.  We are still riding back from representing Indiana in Michigan.  We got a good chuckle out of it.  Nothing but respect for Mater Dei.  They have taken us out two years in a row at dual state.  Davison, however, is a pretty solid high school wrestling team.

Sorry man, this is a bad take. These were some of the best teams in Michigan, including a nationally top ranked team.

I worry that EMD and Brownsburg will knock each other off just fighting to get out of semi-state. Meanwhile Crown Point should walk through their semi-state.

Its going to be a fun year.... teams like cathedral are waiting in the wings and could get 10 -12 guys to state

Seems it wasn't but several days ago that this poster was talkin about how EMD won this prestigious and tough tourney 3 years ago and implied bburg could only get 3rd two years runnin.  Some people seem to have very short memory, or selective memory when it suits their desired message

Davison is LOADED, and  every weight class had countless future college wrestlers that will make noise at the next level..Ciccerelli winning and Baby Brewer, Lapadat, Blaze and many others wrestled out of their minds scoring bonus points and that's vs on paper what many ppl might've thought were favs and their championship pedigree lead them to a title over a top 10 nationally ranked powerhouse in that Davidson team and many other formidable schools..

it came across like you almost made light of the tourney cuz EMD won it, but you always have positive outlook so I know that wasn't your intent.. We all know this is going to be a crazy year and we all will have fun watching it unfold...btw I wanna see that purdy vs Sollars scrap!!! Have you seen it?!?!?

That EMD 2003 team was disgusting, seen them first hand at team state Year before (dad told me he give me 200 if I could  take down Mauer , think I ended up owing ol Dad 2k and Blake another 2k after that clinic)  I'll wait to see how this year pans out but I'd like to line this one up and discuss the hypothetical outcome... We (most)are just a bunch of old head wrestling fanatics that find solace in watching the greatest sport on the planet, produce great leaders of tomorrow and make timeless memories...

I'm so glad we have tons of great coaches and wrestling community that contribute to making it possible for us to all converse and network due to such quality wrestling and sportsmanship (for the most part)..

I'll always be a NC Trojan but as a honorary "TheCounty" Enforcer and supporter, I'll always root for BBurg when it's not a conflict of interest and am more than pumped to watch their run...I know there's tons of In state threats to push them.

I've been working on California for over 3 months for wildfire Vegetation management, and haven't got to see any of my wrestlers or be there in the physical form and it's really had me in the dumps, so heading home tomorrow is literally the first time I've felt like a little kid excited before xmas in 30 years.. I'm just glad you crazy place help me keep What sanity I have left especially after this crazy trip....

I think what he is trying to say is that BB didn’t wrestle a ranked team in a Dual format, at least that’s how I took it. Regardless of the format, dual or tournament scoring, what BB did was outstanding and great for Indiana.

It is really fun to have @TeamGarcia and @Mattyb sitting in our bleacher section this season... #TheCounty hysteria is now centered in #LincolnTownship! Glad to have you guys in #Purplesburg...

The Dogs faced Davison in quite a few head to head matches and prevailed. It was entertaining to listen to the Davison, Dundee, Brighton and Lowell fans talk about "the Indiana team".

Watching a healthy Gavin Garcia was awesome! That young man has worked hard on his craft. Freshman Gunnar Henry was a technique master against much older/stronger MI wrestlers. Brady Ison just dominates in a fashion only he can master. Freshman Jake Hockaday is full steam ahead on the #paintrain and sophomore Preston Haines wins in his usual flair... This team has the capability to do some pretty neat stuff and will be fun to watch this season.

Just make sure that the seeding for team state will be such that this match can be the one at the end of the afternoon for sure!

You think wrong.  The original post stated they wrestled a top ranked team.  You wrestled in a tournament with many good/excellent teams, not in a dual. How does that contradict what I said?  I'm not sure how I stated that before this tournament I felt like BB was the team to beat in the Eville SS indicates me trying to take something away from you?

You won a great tournament.  Be happy.  But the fact that you won that, compared to Mater Dei wrestling today without much of their lineup doesn't tell us anything, which was the premise of this thread.  So nothing changed.  At least in my opinion.  BB is still the favorite, was before.

Not sure how that gets feathers ruffled.  Sorry if I didn't participate in a rah rah thread in the manner you would have preferred.  BB had a great day, enjoy it!

I didn't imply anything. I stated fact.  I was only providing reference that IN teams have had success there before.  If BB had won before I would have notated that.  They won this time, which is awesome.  They had a great day.  But that doesn't tell me anything that I didn't already know, in that they have a helluva team.  As I mentioned in a thread weeks ago.  Sorry if I hurt feelings.  Never figured there would be so much sensitivity after a great day of wrestling.
