2025 Title Contenders

Recommended Posts

I know we don’t know who goes what weight next year but here are my early ‘25 title contenders:

Returning Champs -

Schoettle

Dickman

Hockaday

Doster

Cressell

Weaver

Impressed me this weekend -

Jendreas

Schaefer

Shepherd

Pellot

Henry

8th Graders -

Bell (Avon)

Staples (Crown Point)

Any early ‘25 champs I’m missing?

---Hartleroad impressed this weekend pulling down 3rd in a loaded heavyweight field. 75% of the field @ 285's are Seniors. And he finished 3rd. I would look for him again next year to improve on that.

Tylin Thrine. He’s 80-1 after two seasons and will be a returning champion. He spent most of the season ranked nationally at 126, where he won it as a freshman, until he confirmed that he moved up to 132.

Hartleroad was the aggressor throughout his semifinal. I spent most of the match wondering why the refs didn't call stalling against his opponent, who would only give ground and not directly attack throughout the match.

Jeremy Carver from Delta has incredible national level wins and experience.  He’s been high level dominant.  Multiple MS state championship, ISWA and triple crown. He has to be in the mix at 106.  Not afraid of anyone and technically sound.

He won’t be in HS next year, just a hunch.

Brownsburg returning a bunch of State placers. Max Forrester will be very tough at HWT next year. He was still raw this season. Watch out for my guy!!!

i Have heard and seen videos of this kid doing insane lifting. Something like 400bench and 550/600 squat. Get him in some offseason training and tournaments guaranteed top 4 placer imo.  Partners like henry and brewer will help

kid is 1 hell of a technician Having been blessed to help coach him and known him his whole life, I would expect multiple titles out of the young man... CWA and the coaches down there put a lot of time in him and he's under very good guidance in that regard.

I think a lot of those guys train at the same place. If that isn’t a plug for a wrestling academy I don’t know what is

How does everyone keep forgetting or overlooking Thrine. I’m not understanding. If he stays at 132, he’s gotta be the #1.
