Shout-out to the PAC for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in 1A!!

Cathedrals 170 SV win to start the meet off combined with a few key pins set the momentum early and EMD was just trying to claw back to no avail after that. MD still has a very talented team which could win this dual on a different day, but they couldn’t solve the Cathedral puzzle today. The Irish have earned the right to say they are the top dual team in the state. Now on to the tournament scoring competitions, where a few teams may swap spots.

I always have a tough time finding stuff in their website, but their Facebook page is super easy to use. I appreciate Region Sports covering wrestling so well. I love that we have real time commentary and coverage. It definitely adds to the environment. Wrestling!

FYI -- I am inputting the 3A results where both wrestlers are either (1) ranked or (2) they are listed in the database. Plenty to see...find them in the results section.

#6 Tyce Freije (Roncalli) vs #7 Kade Law (Columbus East) -- 1st period Tyce the aggressor, Law is protecting like the "Law" should...0-0 end of 1st Law with an escape and TD, 3-0 Tyce with reversal, 3-2 in the 2nd Law with escape, Tyce with a TD with 1 second left....4-4 to start the 3rd.....Tyce is down Tyce with the lead, 5-4.....1:30 left Law with TD, Tyce with escape...6-6 with 30 seconds left Tyce with the TD in OT....big win for Mr. Freije....8-6

Wow you guys made sure Cathedral gets a pass. Mater Dei is a 1 and BB is 2. You guys know this is how is should be. Not sure how it always works out for Cathedral. At the state tourney, team state. Couldn't stop it last year and the same will happen this year. They will finish 2nd when actually they should be 3rd but it doesn't matter they aren't winning no matter where you put them. It's sad that you guys do this crap.

Purdue had a great showing at the tough Midlands tournament this past weekend. The Boilers finished 8th overall including 2 champions - Dylan Lydy @ 174 and Christian Brunner @ 197. Kendall Coleman also finished 4th IU was also in the Midlands, finishing 17th in the team race. Donnell Washington placed 5th at 174, Jacob Covaciu finished 6th at 174 and Brock Hudkins placed 6th at 125.

He was definitely battling some bad a$$’$!

I was standing behind the scoring table for the Bellmont and Garrett match, I couldn't see anything. With that said, I'm very proud of the defending 1A champs, Adams Central. Went in unseeded....they lost by a combined total of 7 points in their 3 losses. For a team that young coming off a strong football season....look out 1A teams next year!

Obviously it wouldn’t of been over turned if argued but how could a ref miss that? Kid had it forever.

Anyone else notice the full Nelson the Bellmont kid had for about 5 seconds before he pinned the Garrett kid to win the title? I thought it was very very obvious. @nkraus you saw this right?

Worth also noting the big shift in the status quo that occurred at 1A today. In the past most of placements have been populated by the northern schools, but the southern teams shown through today in a big way. Hopefully this signals the needle is moving towards a more even north and south split at the 1A level in the future.

Not at this point. Seltzer with a major over Freeman pretty much seals it, baring a miracle run of pins. Cathedral is leaving little doubt they deserve their current spot.

Tough loss at the end for Sollars. Parkinson only wins 8-0. MD needed more points from him
