    2024 Fargo U.S. Nationals

Big day for both of Indiana Men’s squads. They have both positions themselves for a Top 5 team finish tomorrow. Men’s Juniors 3-Juniors into the Semi-Finals: Brady Byrd, Jake Hockaday, and Revin Dickman. Also, 7 others still alive in the Consols for All American placement. The team is currently tied for 6th place. U16 Not to be out done the U16 team has 5 Semi-Finalists: Case Bell, Clinton Shepherd, Lucas Boe, Thomas Gibbs and Xavier Smith. Shepherd specifically hoping to rectify his unfortunate Semi final call from last year. There are also 8 others still fighting in the Consols. The team is tied for 4th place going into the final few rounds. On a side note, I did notice on the Fargo schedule for Thursday they will be holding Beach Wrestling before concluding the last few days with Greco. Be interesting to see if any of the Hoosier boys, not participating in Greco, may take a tussle in the sand.

  6. We are fortunate to have two Indiana medalists at the just-finished Panamerican U20 wrestling championships in Lima, Peru. Julianna Ocampo won her second Panam gold this year, beating the Panamanian wrestler to make a clean sweep of U17 and U20 in the same year. Wrestling for Canada, Will Kennedy took bronze in the Men's 74kg division, registering two technical falls in his matches. Well done to both, and let's keep the results coming at Fargo next week!

  8. Below are links to a short pre-olympic video series on Stevan Micic. It's made by a faith-based group, so there's some content about his beliefs--but it's primarily his wrestling experiences and mindset and journey to this point, digging pretty openly into his biggest failures.

  9. Do yourselves a Huge favor and go back and watch Hockaday’s Consi finals match that he won 15-15!!! This man has been fun to watch all week. Like I said before they started… locked and loaded!!! 5 purple dogs get AA.

  11. This PIN ranking system is a joke. Hockaday with wins over Stanley, Botello, and Verette in the last 365. 4th place finisher last year and he is the 14 seed. He is getting faulted for going to trial tourneys? Something has to change, USAW is doing a disservice to the kids!

  38. If the story is new to you, I'm guessing that means you haven't seen the 2014 Academy Award-nominated film, Foxcatcher. It's based on the DuPont/Schultz brothers story. A gutwrenching film, but incredibly well-done. Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo--top-shelf Hollywood actors--as those 3 men.
