  1. 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a wrestler was stirring, not even Da Rat, the singlets were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Bankers Life Fieldhouse soon would be there; The wrestlers were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of "Under the Lights" danced in their heads, and matmaids in their kerchiefs, and coaches in their caps, had just settled down for a short winter nap; When out of the wrestling room arose such a clatter, I sprang from the thermostat to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, jumped over the scale, and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow, gave lustre to the conditioning of wrestlers below, when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but some spladles, cradles, and coaches as chubby as tiny reindeer. With a little old moderator, so lively, but overrun, I knew in a moment it must be Y2CJ41, more rapid than takedown flurries his members they came, and he whistled and shouted and called them by name; Now Snyder, now McGinley, now, Schoettle, now Schaefer, On, Pendowski, on McClurg, On Tonte and Vega! To the center of the circle, hang from the top of the wall! Now dash away, dash away, dash away all. And, then in a twinkling, I heard in the room, the blood, sweat, and tears of each wrestlers' doom, as coach wallowed out drills as his voice grew hoarse, it was perfectly fine as it was par for the course. As Sectionals and Regionals seem almost here today, Bobby Cox and Blake Ress won't give the IHSAA trophy away, teams jockey and prepare, but go straight to work, because they know that the hardware will soon be there. As Y2CJ41 manages his site for the rest of the year, to his moderator team gave a whistle, and away they ranked, scored, and hoped for no one's dismissal, but I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, Happy Christmas to All, and TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, lads. Go Irish!

  2. Brownsburg Assitant Coach Wiesjahn gave a middling at best Karaoke version of Steel Panthers "Its a Burden Being Wonderful" before the tournament. No one was impressed. PRETENDER

  5. At team state we saw STATE FINALS type of matchups... Who were those wrestlers who separated themselves? 126- Carson Willis- He beat Sam Fair, Tanner Demien (both either state qualifiers or placers, I am pretty sure). He got beat by State champ Cayden Rooks 3-2 and was pinned by state champ Alec Viduya. Even with two losses, Willis showed he is a CONTENDER! 126- We all know Asa Garcia a good day...He beat 4th place state finisher Collin Pointer 3-2, state champ Cayden Rooks 3-1, and avenged a last season loss to state champ Alec Viduya with an overtime win. Garcia confirmed he is a CONTENDER! 113- Blake Boarmen came in as a highly touted freshman for Mater Dei. He beat Joe Just 10-3 (I think Just is a SQ or ticket rounder SSQ). Blake then beat Kung of PM 12-1 and Hedgdus of Portgare 7-1. Three quality wins by the freshman shows he is a CONTENDER! 120-Brock Peele of Portage placed 4th last year at the state finals. Peele's four wins yesterday may be the most significant of any wrestler...He beat Trey McCartney 5-3, Ray Rioux 4-3, Drake Campbell 3-1, and Kane Egli 7-1. I believe all four were at the state finals last year. Very good wins by Peele proves he is a CONTENDER! 113-Kysen Montgomery- Kysen came in as a highly touted freshman who cracked the starting spot on the best team in Indiana. He was beaten by Brayden Lowery in overtime, he beat Hegedus 2-1 and Kung 7-2. The freshman proved he is a CONTENDER! 160- Nick South of CE showed how new practice partners has elevated his game. South beat Ethan Hicks 3-0, Nolan Weidner 8-3, Ian Hartz 11-3, and Nathan Conley 1-0. South didn't get a break at the team state finals and had to bring his A game every match and proved he is a CONTENDER! OTHER CONTENDERS BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR Joel Arney with wins over Parkinson and Schonegge Jack Services who didn't give up a point.. Freeman 9-0, Fitts 7-0, and Asbury 5-0. Who else separated themselves from the pack?

  6. Hold on a minute. You just erased your last post. You said you didn’t have the information about the strain. Now you say the doctor said he wasn’t contagious.

I also thought the Young/Leazier match was a good, solid match. Just when you think Eliseus was gassed out....then he one of those oh so Quick takedowns that he can hit fro anywhere. I believe we will see big things out of Muncies Andrew Abbott in real near future. I, for one, hated to see him leave us after Freshman season to go to MCB. Good kid though!!

  9. The Chicago Bulls and Phil Jackson were absolutely disgraceful when they let Jordan play in the famous flu game in the NBA finals. This is ridiculous.

  16. Shaking hands with the opposing coach is a dumb "tradition" that needs to end. It serves no purpose and only gives the kids or coaches an opportunity for something bad to happen. On top of that we shake hands enough especially during cold and flu season. I don't know how many times I've seen a kid wipe his nose before initiating a handshake with me.

  17. Raise YOUR kids how you want but keep it to yourself dont complain about how others raise theirs there is nothing disrespectful or wrong about not shaking the other coaches hand after a match.
