Check out our remaining previews from the High School Wrestling Weekly Media Day. If you missed out, please make plans to join us next season. Only we can promote ourselves, we know the regular media outlets aren't going to do it!

Interesting, I wonder if some teams are only coming for one day or if they plan on wrestling six in a day instead of five this season.
-
Who else is going to be there next weekend? I heard they were 1-2 teams short.
-
For a school with less than 250 kids, the Cowan Blackhawks sure have burst onto the scene of 1A wrestling. They've done it with the help of a couple of Rebels.

The New Haven Bulldogs are going to be contenders this season wherever they go, and with Julianna O'Campo back on their side, who knows how far they will go.

Please join us for a new and expanded version of High School Wrestling Weekly on Sundays this season at 7 p.m.
Our first show is this Sunday, on the eve of the opening boys practice, and ahead of our first wrestling broadcast, when Jay County takes on North Miami and Blackford in girls wrestling.
We will have our HS Wrestling Media Day from 4-6 p.m. at Cross Creek in Decatur and then the show will start at 7 p.m.
Our expanded format has a more local focus at the start of the show, but around 7:45 to 7:50 each week we will switch over to a state-wide show. This change will be reflected in our podcast options for those who listen to the show via the pod.
You can stream WZBD live by going to wzbd.com and clicking on the listen live link.
We want to thank all our partners, including those in Fort Wayne and Evansville, who have stepped up and allowed us to make this expansion.
Attached is a promo from one of our wonderful radio personalities, Wolf Rover, our long-time Z-Team roving reporter.

Many wrestling fans remember the big heart shown by Kyle Lawson during his wrestling days at Bellmont. Now that big heart has taken on a big project - and he's asking you for help.

I sat on the committee that was present when these changes were made.
My thoughts after an eye-opening day in Indianapolis:
-The "strength" of regionals had zero effect on decisions.
-The IHSAA does not have any intention to "balance" the semi-states.
-Most of the "data" driving the decisions was based on the number of beating hearts entered at each weight at each sectional and attempting to shift schools to keep them as even as possible. Basically 0.0% of the input was based on advancement results from previous years.
