Middle schoolers LT hawkins had a day finishing 3rd!!!!! Evan Stanley was right there with haines and the best kids in indiana beating state placers etc, jeffrey hueyvart beat state qualifiers, and clinton shepherd who just turned 13 beat a couple Ohio state qualifiers and they all competed with the best high schoolers in the country! Future is bright for indiana wrestling. Middle schoolers have some upcoming hammers.

Also, the tourney was ran incredible!

Mark Durham and Joe did it again!  Great tournament, greatly ran.  Was nice to have the watches for the officials for the timing situations.  Saw a couple of last second scores/non-scores where the officials were able to know exactly as time ran out!

You did a good job too @leggin89

A tournament like this couldn't be put on without a lot of great people.

Indiana Tech wrestlers did a great job setting up on Friday

Trine wrestlers and some Indiana Tech girls were great at the tables

Mark and Kyle doing an awesome job with Track and even shifting bouts on the fly.

The Carroll trainers who came and kept everyone from bleeding too much

The referees who made some good calls and kept Barnett from blowing a whistle.

My assistants Briggs and Smith who helped coordinate facility stuff.

The police officers who helped with a couple small issues

Adam Hartsough with amazing photos(check Facebook)

The great wrestlers, coaches, fans and parents that came, kinda hard to be a great tournament without those.

LT Hawkins for taking two third place medals

Lastly, my wife and kids who manned the front and did a great job.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend of wrestling. It is nice to have such a big event in this state that is a WRESTLING state!

A name nobody knows yet

Andre Merritt 163 junior from whiteland finished the day 6-2 and top 6 in the weight losing to the 3rd and 4th place kids.  Beat several good kids including a Michigan state champ, and ended the day with a very respectable 6-3 match against IN state champ Conway.

He's def gotten even better since he wrestled my guy for 7th at Freshman/sophmore state! Congrats

Man Indiana is ontherise 😒 pun intended. These guys coming in to high school and the next wave of middle school guys are tough! This group showed they are not afraid of tough competition and showed out. That takes guts, great job!

so CP-BBurg-Mater dei battling out for a title.
