In action on Saturday Jan 16..... - Both Carson Brewer and Jordan Slivka got decision wins in Ohio U's dual with VMI. - Ty Mills dropped an 8-0 decision to Luke Kemerer in an extra match in Duke's dual wi/ Pittsburgh. Mills is wrestling 149 - Drew Hughes split two matches in duals vs. Maryland and Minnesota. Hughes beat Philip Spadafora of Maryland 4-2 and lost a 13-1 major to Jake Allar of Minnesota. - Brayton Lee beat Chase Saldate of Mich St. 5-4 and WBF over Lucas Cordio of Maryland, both at 157. Great start for Purdue. IU has been getting a lot of the big name Indiana kids, but these Purdue wrestlers are doing well at the college level! Two thumbs up for the job Ersland is doing

I’m all for Hudkins and glad he helped upgrade IU at 125. That being said Ragusin has been much better than expected so far and I’d expect him to win this one if Mich. puts him in. I also agree Hudkins needs to get himself to another gear than what we saw against the Illini. Hopefully Angel can get him and of the other Hoosier to work up to their peak level as we get into the Big10 tournament. The team still a work in progress and Angels guys are just now starting to take over the room and starting lineup. They have potential to be a solid Big10 team if Escobedo can keep getting them to take steps forward over the next few season. A few years back people were questioning the Esland hire and looks where Purdue has got to. It took about 5 years to get them to move to the middle of the Big 10. I believe Angels is just in year four with a worse situation than the Boilermakers had, people need to still give him another year or two more of recruiting and development before passing too much judgement on the progress of the IU program.

Tori did win girls state tonight and hopefully she wins WIC tomorrow. My prediction is the WIC will have 10-15 wrestlers at semi state with 3-4 punching their ticket.

His major is PETROLEUM ENGINEERING so he is getting a great education and will make some nice money in his career.

That was the first year I went down to state my junior year. That match blew me away and was a pretty big catalyst to my now wrestling obsession.
