Lucas Boe - National Greco Runner-Up. This young man had one heck of a weekend. His stock continues to rise, but will we see him dawn an Indiana HS singlet in the future? U16 Team likely finish around 6th or 7th place. Junior Team likely finish around 13th or 14th place.

Had the good fortune to coach against Coach Thompson at the New Castle Duals. He was an incredible gentleman and sportsman. He treated me like we had been friends for years when we met. Dave was the kind of coach that gives sports a good name. R.I.P. Coach Thompson.

If the story is new to you, I'm guessing that means you haven't seen the 2014 Academy Award-nominated film, Foxcatcher. It's based on the DuPont/Schultz brothers story. A gutwrenching film, but incredibly well-done. Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo--top-shelf Hollywood actors--as those 3 men.

Juniors - Placement B. Byrd - 4th E. Roudebush - 6th W. Cressell - 3rd Team currently in 13th Place but finals results may shift them down a couple more spots. U16 - Placement Lucas Boe - Championship Finals M. Staples - 3rd S. Goodwise - 6th T. Gibbs - 5th X. Smith - 3rd C. Schofield - 5th J. Boyd - 4th Team currently in 6th Place with Finals still to go.

U16 - Currently Our U16 team has several still hanging in there hoping to for solid team placement. The team is currently in 8th. Lucas Boe makes the Championship Finals. M. Staples, S. Goodwise, T. Gibbs, X. Smith, C. Williams, C. Schofield and J. Boyd all still alive in the late Consol rounds.

Clinton Shepherd 132 U16 Fargo champion! Fantastic job!

There were a few documentary made on this one. Team Foxcatcher (the doc not hollywood movie) is a solid one.

Rev was a double All American both of his cadet years. This year he has decided not to do Greco anymore.

Is Brady Byrd the first Indiana back to back double All American in Junior or cadet division? His were both in Junior division.

Also, there aren't very many home duals--so the couple 30% capacity duals get cancelled out by the couple 95-100% capacity events when we're arriving at that two-thirds full average.

Or it speaks to the depth we have in middle school. I believe we had him around top 10 on our 1st set of rankings, he had a couple loses to st. Laurent, who was also top 10. He had a few loses to Daniel Brown this year. I don't believe he won Middle School, folkstyle, Freestyle, or greco state. It looks like he's working hard and putting in the work. He had a great U16 and I can't wait to see what he does in high school.

Great showing by this upcoming generation in 16U! Loved seeing some of the top HS names in the state competing at Fargo. Kudos to the Purplesburg bulldog competitors -- glad to see reloading in action.

Great coach and mentor . Wish I couldda made the funeral to pay respects, but family just got back home to South Carolina when I got the news . Prayers for the family.

Went to Daves showing today. Hundreds payed their final respects. The line ran through the entire building and out the back door, The man was loved and respected through out the state. Was Hall of Fame human being. He will be missed.
