Yes, reading the forfeits is why I got on here.  Was there a team epidemic or something?

OMGGGG Thacker throws Henry to his back in a headlock and has him pinned. But isn’t called. Wow, might’ve been the biggest upset in Wildcat history

And how Schapker didn't get nearfall points in his 2-1 loss @ 175 is inconceivable.

Yeah that was the worst call I’ve seen in the history of wrestling. And I’ve been watching wrestling for over 40 years

According to track they had guys weigh in at those weights.  Be interesting to see if they FF all day or wrestle.

With all due respect (cause I do enjoy your takes). The headlock was illegal the whole time (no arm). Not sure why the ref let it go so long. That’s the issue not the lack of nearfall.

Ok (coming from someone watching at home) so still awful officiating just bc it sounds like it was illegal the whole time and the ref just let it go on for like 20 seconds

That's where my confusion came in, (watching on tv also). Ref never started a near fall count, because he knew it was an illegal hold (not arguing, I couldn't see that), yet they were in that position for a long time, nothing changed, then illegal hold is called.

So weird! But yes that’s what happened.

4A matchup between two nationally ranked powerhouses!!

106 Ogle 18 vs Newell 16

113 Dickman 1 vs Lewis 4

120 Haines 4 vs Jendreas 1

126 Haines / Reynolds 4 vs Hawkins 2

132 Hockaday 1 vs Sessa 7

138 Ison 3 vs Shepard 1

145 Reynolds 2 vs Washington 7 / Baca/Jones

152 Gibbs 3 vs Cruz 5

157 Day 7 vs Van Tielcht 10

165 Derring 14 vs Rhinehart 1

175 UR Campbell vs UR White

190 Henry 1 vs Reading 8

220 Brewer 6 vs Clark 1

285 Forrester 4 vs Clark 1

Questions-

How much will bumping come into play?

Can Brewer and Forrester avoid being pinned agin by the Clark brothers?

Can Henry rebound from a near loss against UR Mater Dei kid to get the bonus points BB needs?

Can Shephard prove the first match when he beat Ison wasn't a fluke?

Tossups (pretty much every match) but 106 and 175 will be huge!

Will Washington be in the lineup? Baca and Jones have wrestled today. Who gets the nod at 145?
