MD hammered through most of the duals, with exception to Avon. It was a back-and-forth bout, with big wins from Austin Vanover at HWT with a Fall against the Oriole's HWT. Other notable matches, with Vanover's younger brother Tyler, as he wrestled a tough match with Cheaney Schoeff at 138. With blood times pushing the match to an eternity, Schoeff pulls off a hard-fought victory 6-4 decision. At the end, MD pulls through 45-23. Scoreboard doesn't show it, but it was a close, exciting dual. Another notable bout from the tourney yesterday were the following: 195: John Purdy (CAST) v Cameron Maier (BSHS) - Purdy with a first period fall. Guy will be a force to be reckoned with come tournament time. Toby came out the gate hot, but Liam battled back and eventually took the lead before Toby, down 11-8, scored an escape, takedown, and 3 near fall from a tilt. Liam got the escape to make it 14-12, and I forgot where Toby’s last point came from though. Worth the price of admission as the saying goes.
