See .... everyone. A person that brings something to the table. FACTS !

    Not your worthless opinion.

@Sig40 I watched both at Flo & Super 32. Great matches . Not sure if Asa wrestled Noonan to give a outcome.

There is a Freshman from Virginia that gave Asa a loss in Pennsylvania this Summer . 3-1 TB . Has Jesse ever wrestled this individual ? Last name starts with a V .

Nic Vafiadis.  Yes, Jesse wrestled him twice.  Jesse beat him for a super32 title and then lost to him two months later.  The Virginia refs hit Jesse with a fleeing the mat call to lose the match when the kid pushed him straight out.  Stall maybe, but fleeing definitely not.  Vafiadis is top notch.

    Well then ....

    🚨Troll Alert 🚨

Is still in place cause the (6-0) score was a Fact and your opinions are irrelevant.

Jesse definitely wanted to cut him.  You clearly see Jesse look at coaches twice and then hear them say stay on top, he does not get a point.  I later asked the coach and they confirmed that they did not want him to give up a point.  I talked to Jesse as well and he wanted to keep working towards bonus points.

Although Jesse has never wrestled Ty Mills, he did beat Patrick Noonan(Super32) who gave Ty his last high school loss(FloNationals).

If you did not include an email, I can PM you the link to edit your team. If you do not wish to edit, I will post a spreadsheet on Friday with team names and team members only so everyone can see their team. I have since added a message under the email section letting people know that they should include an email if they wish to see or edit later.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I did not see a link to edit picks in the email.

A lot of Indiana flavor out at Wildwood Dualsin New Jersey this past weekend with kids wrestling for Buxton, ScorpionsDynasty, M2, Midwest Mafia and others and represented the state really well!

Can you post records for all the Indiana kids that were there, so rankings can be adjusted. From Facebook photo I saw looks like 4 or 5 Indiana kids were on the championship team. Congrats to these kids seeking out the best competition.

  5. 106: Cottey, Chundi, Perry, Anthony
    113: Seltzer, Pierson, Simone, White
    120: Lowery, Stewart, Eldred, Moseley

    138: Freije, Smith, Wilson, Wilkerson
145: Hall, Warren, Mosconi, Graves (this weight can go 4 different ways) really tough
152: Rodgers, Noehre, Fair, Otto (top 2 can be switched)
160: Davis, Lohrey, Slivka, Lowe (another insane weight that can have 3 different champs)

Hector your really stretching it here with your ties with Brownsburg . I call #undercoverhomer 😂

I like your picks though . Wait till I pick Da Region .

    The Notorious

I know Miller will claim that the 6th grade state championship run with Brownsburg gives them some sort of rights over Jesse... so maybe

  7. *Couple things about each weight

106: roberson vs Cernus is semi finals will be a big match for team scoring
113: 2nd quarter bracket will be the most interesting Tattini vs Armstrong and then winner vs Fogarty
120: both semi finals will be great matches
126: top side quarters can go either way and Peele vs Mendez in Semi finals will drop one of them to a 3 seed causing a potential Friday night match vs Curtis or Watts(FW's runner up)
132: one of the nastiest blood round matches in all semi states Moreno vs Rodriguez
138: Nisely vs Alexander should be a fun semi finals match
145: 2 tough first round matches Hollis vs maldonado and Park vs Watts
152: first round match Hollendonner vs Turley(winner I believe can grab the 4 seed)
160: Washington should navigate the bracket with ease
170: top quarter  bracket can go a few different ways with Sneed, Pack, and Streck fighting for a ticket
182: 2nd worse blood round  match is Bates for LaPlace.  and potentially some revenge matches Castro vs Donahue and LaPlace vs Donahue
195: Akinwumi draws a tough blood round match vs Donovan.  Snyder vs Potosky I believe will decide who makes the finals vs Akinwumi/Donovan winner
220: Another great Fowler Bailey rematch is in order
285: 2 tough blood round matches  Garcia vs DeVault and Atria vs Austgen

  8. As a Region Rat I can not be a Homer, so here are my picks.

    106: Freeman, Miller, Garcia, Newman
    113: Watson, ,Nelson, Ross, Dalton
    120: Littell, Montgomery, Boarman, Conley
    126: Rioux, Egli, Conway, Clark

    285: Sidibe, Keys, Biddle, Gentry

7 Avon wrestlers  advancing, 9 Brownsburg, and 8 MD
MD, Avon, CE, and CG all with 3 champs each.

  9. top 4 no particular order

    106: Roberson, Hall, Cernus, Bailey

    126: Mendez, Burge, Peele, Mark
    132: Hegedus, Moreno, Brooks, Hadary
    138: Alexander, Weeks, Nisely, Johnson
    145: Burford, Douglas, Maldonado, Park
    152: Ellis, Mohmed, Cervantes, Hollendonner
    160: Washington, Welch, Verbeek, Neff
    170: Calhoun, Walker, Pack, Kwiatkowski
    182: LaPlace, Donahue, Walton, Castro
    195: Potosky, Donovan, Hurley, Babcock
    220: Fowler, Bailey, Kidwell, Stoner

I think Crown Point wins a tight one over Portage, followed by Culver Academy, Merrillville, and Wawasee.

So jesse has a chance to win high school 4x along with middle school 3x.

Lee won high school 3x and Hughes 2x?

Yes Lee lost in ticket round in semi state freshman year.  Would have had Lee at state, but probably makes the finals.

Hughes was runner up freshman year, number 1 sophomore year but got spladled in semi finals at state.  Drew finished with 2, probably should have been a 3 timer.

Anything can happen, but hoping Jesse can get the job done.

Lane Gilbert won middle school state for the second year in a row.

Who are the other two time state champs? And has anyone won it three times?

I have only found 3 three time state champs.

    Jesse Mendez (85, 102, & 125)
    Brayton Lee (90, 110, & 132)
    Drew Hughes (75, 80, & 85)

Ya not sure how close it’s monitored but would like to see  a even playing field so that doesn’t continue to happen

Maybe they changed it, because they used to send kids home that didn't make the weight they signed up for.  I did hear that the tournament was ran much smoother and quicker this year at Center Grove.

I think a loophole does exist and should be worded different.....I also think if you wrestle there you are only eligible for 3 consecutive years.

I noticed a couple kids that competed for their 4th year this year.  Must have just gotten lucky because they are only allowed 3 years.  Plus they are not supposed to compete twice as an 8th grader, if they were held back their 8th grade year.

  14. Someone asked on the youth forum how many 3 time middle school state champs there were, so I have been going through brackets for a few hours.  So far I can only find 3.

    Jesse Mendez (85, 102, & 125)
    Brayton Lee (90, 110, & 132)
    Drew Hughes (75, 80, & 85)

So josh barr not a resident yet?

His father said the move if it happens won’t happen until this summer. I’ll probably pull him after middle school state to make room for whoever shows out at middle school state.
