Rookies03
Im sure I missed it somewhere, but what happened to sopko during the hs season? He lost in the ticket round of semi state to Bates from SBW. Bates got an early lead and Sopko earned several TDs to take the lead. With about 15 secs Bates hit a head lock and got the pin. navy80
Im sure I missed it somewhere, but what happened to sopko during the hs season? When Sopko was a freshman, I would have guess he would have been a four time placer. And him and the kid who transferred to Minnesota would be state champs as seniors. So far not coming true! poitup123
The Aven-Scott match was solid, but Aven had more energy down the stretch. A takedown by Aven as time expired was awarded, then called off, but it was a moot point when he scored in OT to win. Brandon James controlled Tommy Cash start to finish in a classic clash. It had onlookers -- at Deondre Wilson's school, too -- wondering what might have happened to James if he went 138 in the recently completed season. Beeler looked great all day, coming from Kentucky to win in Indiana. It was a great tournament.
Y2CJ41
Aven's takedown at the end of regulation was about 3 seconds after the clock expired. It wasn't even close. The referees got it right there.
poitup123
I totally agree. For a moment some breaths were held as there was about to be controversy, but indeed it was the right call.

littlevito
Why was an out of state wrestler allowed to wrestle at state? He just recently moved here. So therefore an Indiana resident.

notlong2go
Saw Helm beat Koontz and then Sopko, Lydy wins 170. Next year will be WIDE open. Question is where Stevenson will go. With Rypel still around Im guessing he stays at 170.
