This is big news for the Dirty South (copyright TripleB)!  The Ford Center is a great live venue, but no wifi and no streaming until this year!

• 120 will have a minimum of four on-paper upsets, but I’m thinking a couple more.
• A school who has been doing very well here for multiple years will not get a single state finals qualifier.
• Two undefeated wrestlers will lose in the ticket round.
• A BIG upset occurs, one that nobody in this thread has or will predict.
• I guarantee a #1 ranked wrestler will not qualify for the state finals.
• I will get a better score on these pick ems than I do New Castle(bolder than it sounds).

Check this out.   I just uploaded some data from 5 years worth of Genius ratings and SOS ratings  into an excel spreadsheet.  I added a column for the average and i ranked the teams. This gives a good picture of the consistency of the all the teams over a 5 year period.   I hope Maligned doesn't mind me using his data, I just compiled it and used it to make averages.   But I think kind of cool to look at how some teams have been really consistent and you can see some teams are trending up and some going down.
 
Without much surprise, Brownsburg had the highest 5 year Genius average  at 109.97,  Mater Dei was a close second at 104.57, with Perry Meridian in 3rd at 101.61 and Warren Central at 97.42 narrowly edged out Cathedral 97.24 for 4th place. 
 
Brownsburg had the strongest strength of Schedule  with Avon  followed by Mater Dei.  Shows the strength of the Hoosier Crossroads conference.

If I remember right, he bumped up a weight to try to win one for his team. Because... that’s what true champs do. He put his career undefeated record on the line for his team. Came up just short. That’s why the kid is even more awesome!

Excited to watch mason over the next 3 years! I remember when people shamed me on this forum for saying mason parris and gable were the same level. Nooooo Gable is world level, well guess what so is mason!

Really disappointed to see Noehre and Rodgers land on the same side of the bracket.  One of them will come into state as a 3rd place finisher - and will be a tough draw for the other #1's to have in their quarter bracket

I have convinced them to still allow wrestlers to bring their normal bags and coolers through the team/wrestler check in entrance. All coolers must be left in the hospitality room and not taken out to the stands. 

#2 Ben Dalton versus #3 Alstott is nuts. 

Dalton beat him at semi state last year and for 3rd and 4th at the state finals.

113 - Lane Gilbert - Logan Sutton (Gilbert favored, but Sutton will put up a fight)

120 - Don't know enough about Colin Knox, but by records Knox - Sam Scott could be interesting
126 - Ben Dalton - Gavin Alstott (One of these two is sitting out State sporting a 38-2 record - no bueno!)
132 - Kane Egli - Tyler Conley (Egli won 3-2 at Team State)
138 & 145 - Nothing jumps out
152 - Jonathan Kervin - Scott Fitts (both should be State Qualifiers, if not Placers)

I’ll give Northwood a shout out. Today at Goshen they had three 4th placers from last weekend take out the Westview sectional champions, and all three went on to place third, avenging losses from last week’s third place matches.
