Wrestle backs you say? What an interesting idea. Please tell me, have any other states implemented these "wrestle backs" , or would Indiana be the first?3 points -

I think you all need to cut Zach Richards some slack. He apparently has never posted in IndianaMat before and probably was not aware of the hornet’s nest he was disturbing. Well, I guess he knows now. Unless of course he is just a troll who took out a new account just to stir the pot.3 points -

I cannot express how sad I am to be reading this thread so late. Yes, we should absolutely have divisions. Small schools are not playing the same game large schools are and should not be competing against them in the same tournament. We don't make the team sports do that, so making the individual sports do it makes very little sense. You can search galagore for all of my other logic. I am too sad to post it all right now.2 points

While it isn’t a representation of all 1A/2A teams across the state, some of the best in those lower classes were there today. That said, no. Most if not all of the champions today were Friday nighters or SS qualifiers/ticket rounders.1 point -

The best way to curb that is for injury time that the coach cannot attend to the wrestler and a trainer/doctor must attend to them. Along with not allowing water or anything like that.1 point

Injury times are out of control
Joshua Unger reacted to Mattyb for a topic
Didn’t want this to be known, but now the cats out of the bag. The injury occurred again over the summer late. The choice was to fix it and miss the season or to tape it up and try to grind it and repair it after season. He chose to wrestle as it couldn’t get any worse and to get it fixed now (after season). With that said, it popped out and back in Friday night. It freaked him out. It was slipping all weekend. If he doesn’t set it when it slips, it can go all the way out. Long story short, he didn’t make it through his placement match and we were ok with what he accomplished this season. With all of this said… He has wrestled CP 4 times. Cruz twice and Will Clark twice. You guys never had a single drink during those losses. Never took injury against those monsters. Lastly.. if you are questioning the toughness or integrity of my kid.. you have never met him or the rest of my family. We don’t roll like that. Feel free to call and discuss. The author of this post @Chris Coopercan attest for how tough my boys are. My oldest wrestled for him one summer. Busted his eye wide open at Disney. We glued it shut with super glue 5 times to ensure Columbus East got 6 every round. He still rocks his scar with honor. Proud of my son and proud of my state champs!!! Crazy how the only hate in this site over the last few days is directed to the big three. That’s the world we live in now… 10 years ago all you would see is love for kids and hard work. We live in a society where people hate everyone and everything. It’s just sad!!!! Matt Brewer 317-201-06441 point
