I think I've followed the IHSAA long enough to confidently say that the IHSAA is nowhere close to making a change to anything close to what we're doing and if they ever do, they'll do it their own way and certainly not copy something a bunch of us came up with.
-
Now that we've seen the changes to Team State, which teams will take the challenge of moving up in class?
We probably all assume Cathedral and Mater Dei will move up to 4A.
Will Franklin? Mishawaka? Or will they stay in 3A?
Will any 2A teams take the challenge and move up to 3A?
Will any 1A teams make the big surprise and go to 2A? (I don't see this one happening)

Indianamat has Cathedral ranked 4th...
I’m curious to the thought process to seed them first at team state. I’m not mad, I actually like that BB/MD winner will get two very tough duals.Cathedral was ranked fourth on December 15. New rankings will be out in morning

Join Rex Brewer and me Wednesday evening at 6 pm for the weekly edition of the Haggard, Sefton, Hirschy & Zelt High School Wrestling Weekly, live from the Double Eagle!
Our weekly broadcast will not only be available live on WZBD, but also on the IndianaMat facebook page live.
If you are in the Northeast Indiana area, you can join us in person at the Pavilion at Cross Creek Golf Course to see the draw unfold yourself.
Doors open to the pavilion at 5:30 and the show starts at 6, running until 8 pm or so. All wrestling fans are welcome and the bar will be open (cash only in the pavilion)!
We will run our regular show from 6-7 pm, talking about the Al Smith (with special guests Mike Reiser & Joe Caprino), Connersville, and the ECIC (with special guest AJ Bradley, head coach of Muncie Central).
We will then move into the draw for team state in the second hour of the show.
There will be a drawing for all guests in attendance, with one wrestling fan walking out of the pavilion with a free round of golf at CCGC in hand!

Bellmont is in school and would be out of the tournament for the first time in 40 years if they don’t make a change.

In the most shocking moment of tonight’s seeding meeting, Mishawaka reveals its intent to move the Al Smith to December 22-23, 2020.
All opposed, signify by saying “nay”.

Friday night at Maconaquah was filled with some great action and a lot of young ladies putting themselves on the line, but I wanted to share with all of you a photo I took that really hit me.
Heritage High School hasn't (according to IndianaMat results) won a dual meet in the last four years and they are 0-47 in that time. But every time I see coaches Lockett and Martin, I am impressed at the way they run their program. They are full of energy and passion for their kids. I have seen it at home dual meets, at the ACAC duals and I saw it on Friday night.
Heritage had one girl wrestling. One girl. Yet the entire team (almost, I think) and both coaches were in attendance and coaching their hearts out and laughing with their kids. This made a huge impression on me and I will be rooting for the Patriots the rest of the year.
The whole team spent six hours in a gym to watch Amber Hoy wrestle four matches.
Kudos to the Heritage team and to both coaches for the role they are playing in their program and congrats to Amber Hoy on her placement Friday night.
