As of now the Spartan Classic is going on. The final decision on what it will look like will come out this week. I do know we have teams that will not be there but other teams are trying to get in. I will update as soon as that info gets to us. For the sixth year coaching for CHS, I am still trying to get Trackwrestling to this event. It’s past time to bring the early to mid 2000’s to the grand hall on Grand.

Oh boy, did I hit a nerve here! It’s all fun and games when this board is covered in #county this and that turning this into some kind of playground theatre. But let someone say something and BOOM, now they bring nothing to this board. Good stuff I gotta say.

Jimtown will host a Holiday Dual tournament on Dec 22 that should have some great match ups. Some teams are ranked in their class and others have some strong individuals and team showings this season. Jimtown 2A #10 Northwood 2A #6 Northridge 3A #9 East Noble Prairie Heights 1A #5 Churubusco

Uhlman also had a decision win over Lewis. The conference has some really nice young talent in the 113-126 range. Definitely the deepest weights in my opinion this weekend. Bertsch from Bluffton adds to it as well.

Shadow wrestle but get your ass kicked by your own shadow. Get headlocked, double legged, snapped down and cradled. It's a good warm up to get your ass kicked.

I think it also depends on the state of your program and how long your athletes have been wrestling. Some inexperienced wrestlers simply don't know how to get themselves truly ready for a match because they haven't been around the sport long. In this case, you would need to control every aspect of their warm up until they find something that works for them. If they have been around the sport, they likely know what works for them.

Leave it up to the wrestler, let them do whatever they need to get themselves ready.
