  1. Although I wasn't at Circle City Classic, I was the tournament director at the Brownsburg JV Invite today where Franklin Central had a good group of young JV kids. I can say Franklin Central's boys were respectful, well disciplined, and well coached team. Your comment doesn't seem to align with what I've seen first hand from the FC squad and coaching staff. I was at Circle City Classic and Franklin Central’s sportsmanship was horrible across the board. The coaches did nothing!

  4. Check the results tab to report your results Individual https://indianamat.com/index.php?/individual_result.html/ Duals https://indianamat.com/index.php?/team_results.html/n2020/ Tournaments https://indianamat.com/index.php?/tournament_results.html/n2020/ The cool thing is once you report it, it automagically will show in a team or wrestler's profile!

Nope, but been around a long time and seen a lot through all age groups and talent levels, so yes, my comment may not be valid to you, but it is to others. Simply going on a forum and spewing hate is not very prideful as your username would suggest, perhaps you should change your username.

I was appalled at the way the Franklin Central wrestles behaved. The coaching staff did nothing but encouraged it. It was flat out embarrassing and disrespectful to this great sport!

Once again sir if there are any issues take it up with the IHSAA. Keep my athletes, who are children, names out of your mouth.

Coach Moore, I do not know why you would direct your comment to Coach Slaymon?? To assume he was the one to make this post is completely wrong. I can assure you that it was NOT a GREENWOOD wrestler or parent that made the alleged comment. You do know that Greenwood and Westfields colors are similar, correct? But the way your wrestlers handled everything does not align with sportsmanship. Just look at how Geno wrestled in the championship match and afterwards all the kids laughing.

Shawn Slaymon, There are numerous things that may lead to what is perceived as poor, or lack of, sportsmanship. If I'm not mistaken, which I'm not, we have on video fans from a school sharing your colors calling one of our African American athletes a N***r. I would assume that issues would arise from there. Any poor behavior on my athletes part is dealt with by the coaching staff and team. How and when those issues are dealt with are none of your concern. If there is any issue with sportsmanship, you should take that up with the IHSAA. My only goal is to raise and teach these young men how to deal with adversity and one day be the future leaders in our society. Thanks for any concerns, Coach Moore FC Head Coach

  10. After watching them last night it’s hard for me to believe they lose a dual. I know it’s early and there are many great teams but that group being soooo young is VERY talented. I highly dislike CP, but I give credit when it’s due. They are fun to watch.

  11. Unless the form on the IHSAA site is wrong that is not what it states? https://ihsaa.org/Portals/0/boys sports/wrestling/Physicians Clearance 2019-20.pdf?ver=2019-11-18-153523-410 "The sub-7% male or sub-12% female, upon physician clearance, may not wrestle below his/her alpha weight." "The wrestler named has received clearance as provided by the Indiana High School Athletic Association Wrestling Weight Control Program to participate at a wrestling weight not lower than his/her Alpha Weight (present weight) which is below the 7% (male) or 12% (female) minimum body fat allowance. EXAMPLE: Alpha weight 110 pounds; 7% weight 114 pounds. Wrestler may wrestle no lower than the 113 pound weight class."

  13. I feel like the top schools have tougher schedules nowadays. Many schools are traveling out of state, so we do not have as many undefeated champions. Because they have a loss, it does not mean they arent as good. IMO
