patriotfan reacted to JMILL in Reasons why IN mat is terrible
@UncleJimmy......... I am at work now and everyone is looking at me in my cubicle because I am laughing out of control........... these are some of the funniest posts I have ever read.
First off @dogsEAT you have issues, some are funny and have given me quite the chuckle and some need serious therapeutic help I think. Who are you I have to know please identify yourself.
Second, Uncle Jimmy that was pure gold buddy, pure gold for sure. I also like your reference to the "dislike" button which I truly believe needs to be added at next update for sure. To answer your question however it could not be my son because per his mothers recent review of his search history on his phone he does not visit IN Mat unless its now listed as big boobs, big butts, stuff inside of other stuff (censored) and most recent how to shave below the belt.
Great stuff message board people, thanks

Coach Freije was awesome!! A great teaching session with over 40 kids! Would love to see more kids from neighboring schools take advantage of this great opportunity...
Next Thursday is Coach Ryan Quinn from Ancilla College 5:15-6:45 PM. Jeffersonville has two alumni wrestling for Coach Quinn at Ancilla, which is a junior college in North Indiana. More information on Ancilla College can be found here.

Krulik will probably distract him with photos of dead animals and have Donte Winfield hold him down.

patriotfan got a reaction from Wrestling Scholar in NAIA National Qualifiers from Indiana
The NAIA school I went to had a dual with IU and SIUE and we went to some decent D1 opens (Joe Parisi Open, Michigan State Open)
As a whole the NAIA competition is getting alot better too

patriotfan reacted to nk140 in NAIA National Qualifiers from Indiana
NAIA is scholarship wrestling. I equate it to D2 in the quality of wrestling. I will never understand why someone would not want to free education. Especially coming from a D3 school like myself.

How many coaches are saying Snyder’s actions were ridiculous? I’m guessing most commenting are keyboard coaches

Was my singing that bad? Speaking of discussions, after seeing your reviews and comments through the year, I'll take this comment here with a grain of salt.

patriotfan reacted to FCFIGHTER170 in please fix Mat 3 stream, TrackWrestling!!
Just wait there will be ppl on here telling us we are lucky to even get to watch online. Which is true but I don't think it's right that yoy pay for services and a majority of the time they are lack luster...15 bibs isn't nothing compared to paying for going to bankers life.. but 15 bucks is pay that i worked damn hard for and I expect quality.

patriotfan reacted to luv2compete in Sprinting to get seats
They should just reserved the sections that the same schools sit at each year. It seems each year that the same schools get their same spots. Instead of “running with the bulls”, just let the schools go to their areas that they always go to.

A lot of talk of 170's from Mooresville Regional but it's the Jeffersonville 170's who showed up today and took 2nd, 3rd, 4th

patriotfan reacted to 1prouddad in Evansville North Took The Regional From Castle--How Did It Go?
Let's be honest for a second. You NEVER gave North a chance before it even started as apparent by your previous postings. Their concessions moved freely. The restrooms were far superior than that of Castles. They were clean and always had supplies much unlike Castles. I sat near the lower level and the view was great. Yes, there was a hiccup with getting the matches in order at first, but were quickly ironed out. If a little walking is against your likings, you must really hate having to walk a couple blocks to get into Ford Center.

patriotfan reacted to FIREPROOF in Who's in,who's out
Actually, I'll reply to this post since I happen to be one of the parents of this particular individual. First of all, I will be the first to say that before this season ever started and Myles was going back and forth on whether not he was going to wrestle, the only thing we asked of him was that if he did indeed start the season that he finished it as that is all we've ever asked of any of our kids. We didn't "allow" him to quit the team. He is almost 19 years old and unfortunately he is technically an "adult". As his parents, there's not a whole heck of a lot we can do! Believe me there have been numerous people, past/present coaches, administrators, mentors, that have tried talking to him. We have literally done all we could to try to get him to complete the season. It's easy to point fingers and say "why would they", "how could they"? Sometimes as parents our hands are tied. We have to let them fail on their own, allow them to make those "adult" decisions and pay the consequences. There's no doubt that he will regret this decision one day. We don't support or agree with his decision but we will love him regardless. If this past year had taught me anything, it's this. I will never again say "that won't be my kid" or "why didn't those parents do something about it" because now we are "those parents".

patriotfan reacted to MOWrestler in State Suite
I think they would do well to sell reserved seating, just like many other events. You could have general admission for the seats on the upper levels, but (like suites) sell tickets or blocks of tickets for the lower level. Then no more coats and seat saving...

patriotfan reacted to TripleB in Best and Worst Sectionals
I think Jeff's 14 sectional champs, from top to bottom, beats Southridges sectional champs in a dual format. New Albany and Floyd County people just mad b/c they have to drive like they live in Madison now.

patriotfan reacted to randalllynch in Best and Worst Sectionals
My team is in that sectional and it is night and day to previous years. We have VERY few kids or weight classes that would be considered "top tier", but there are a few good wrestlers that know what there doing (and yest will most likely struggle at the regional), but I do look forward to seeing several weight classes that have kids who are very competitive at this sectional (126, 160, and 285 come to mind quickly) and most of those kids are just as nervous and anxious as those kids preparing for the Avon sectional.
More importantly though if you are only looking at the top tier kids, how they do competing with each other, you may be missing a piece of the sport that makes most of us smile especially at sectional. It is the kids seeded 6th or unseeded at sectional who overcomes all odds and their own doubts to place 4th and get to wrestle at regional. Some of them will have achieved their only goal in wrestling after 4 years taking a beating in practice, never even believing they could do it because they wrestled behind a stud or had 5 studs in the sectional. That kid will ll be just as happy (and most likely or more so) than most of the wrestlers who lose in the go round or on Friday night.
Weak or strong there is a lot of happiness and tears getting ready to happen on Saturday, but that is what make sectional entertaining and brings a lot of smiles.
