The Bloomington South regional encompasses 5,900 square miles. The whole state is about 36,000 square miles!
Quite a few of these leave me scratching my head. For example, why does Floyd Central and New Albany not go to Jeffersonville if it is just down the road? It would make more sense send North Harrison and Crawford County to Southridge. Would seem to cut down on costs as well for school systems (in terms of gas).

Snyder laced the shoes up yesterday and it was amazing to watch him hit his carry that he won the 1999 CCIW title with.

2016 University Nationals runner-up. That means I was the alternate to the University World Team. Come one, come all...we’ll have our Brownsburg guys there and ready to scrap. Myself, Smiley, and even Snyder might break the shoes out.

A couple from Lake Central...Gelen Robinson and James Torres. Gelen was such an animal and would throw it all on line every match. Funny story about James Torres, my dad coached him and James was starring in the stands and my dad asked him what he was starring at and James replied with "Coach Ayersman, do you see that girl up there?". Some guys could be like James Torres whether other guys would be super tight and were only focused on the match.

Still is. One of, if not, the best coaches I’ve ever had...tons of love for the Sessa family.

Just as a past state champ I can say I was never was worried about anyone in the “county”
As a past state champ. Might want to reconsider. Look at some of the talent that has come out of this area. Look at the awesome guys we have coming up. It’s going to be an extremely fun year.

We lost in the finals 33-24. Came down to the last match...our 220 was just going for the pin, sacrificed a win for himself to try to help the team win. Extremely proud of him and this team! Again, Lake Highland Prep is a not a normal school...they are a prep school.

Thursday 6PM - Get some technique from one of Indiana's greatest and then lots of live.
Anyone who takes Ayersman down while he's looking gets a free t-shirt. Won't be easy, though. Rumor is he is feeling good and has been getting in shape for this challenge.

Haven’t lifted in two years so I’ve lost all the muscle I had...Girlfriend said I’m looking small (took that to heart) so I’ve been hitting 25 pushups, sit-ups, squats, and jumping jacks every night before bed. But come out and get some solid technique that works at every level.

Another packed room tonight at the #BoneZone. Got guys from all over mixing it up. Littell had some awesome technique and everyone in attendance should add his misdirection duck to their repitoire. Had guys training both freestyle and folkstyle, if you’re training either be sure to stop in one of these days and check this room out. Be ready to roll next Thursday at 6 pm.

10th grade ISTEP Info copy/paste from Indiana Dept. of Education. This is sophomore ISTEP results. Not saying either is bad. Just a bad stat coach.
Straight from the indystar. States Brownsburg has the best combined scores. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.indystar.com/amp/1507804002
Here is the link. Not sure a bad stat is the correct term. I believe it is all relevant, happy and lucky to be at one of the best schools in the state.

Can’t never go wrong for job advancement, but the schools in Evansville are not as bad as you may think. Evansville area schools have high marks as well. US news and world report has 2 Evansville area schools above Brownsburgh and 1 other not too far behind. That’s not including the Catholic Schooling which has very high academic and success rates.
Crime rate as Matthew has stated is not even comparable. The Ville is getting bad.
As a parent myself, it’s ultimatley my wife and I decision as to how we groom our boys. To those that wanna judge my parenting, I just let them fume over it as I know we did the best thing for them and our family.
All I know is that Brownsburg was first in the state in ISTEP testing (Standarized tests). They also had all schools in the corporation be rated an A, for like the 6th year in a row. Top notch schools.

Great technique from Cody LeCount today. Great experience for everyone involved to pick his brain. Had guys from all over Brownsburg, Ben Davis, West Vigo, Mooresville, Roncalli, Lafayette Harrison, Cathedral, Carmel, among others.
Next week we got state champ Littell from Center Grove, make sure to make it out to the ‘burg for this one, 6pm. Come train with multiple state champions!

It's not a judgement call any more. It's a simple, you step out the guy gets a point. The time it was an issue was when people gamed the system to drop to their knees as they were going out of bounds to avoid the "step" out. That was fixed fairly quickly.
The step out is a very easy rule and concept to understand.
I like the way out of bounds is called in college, BUT would not want high school refs to have that kind of power of judgement on every time someone went out of bounds. The stepout would be a lot easier to implement with high school refs and it is fairly simple to see who steps out first.
I guess we’ll disagree, I do not like step out idea at all.

The step out isn't judgmental, it's pretty simple...if your foot steps out of bounds no matter the action the other guy gets a point. It's actually the easiest rule out there to interpret.
Disagree. In old freestyle rules if I had a shot and other guy sprawled and we were moved near the out of bound line, no points we awarded when we went out. So that right there would be a judgement call...unless you were to say no points can be awarded, in that situation.

Two thoughts:
1. Reduce tech fall differential to 10 points. Or, give the option for tournament or super dual sites to use a 10-point tech fall rule.
Rationale: Speeds up long days. Another step toward reducing mat time that might allow for 6 matches in a day in the future. Doesn't reduce possibility of big comeback because comebacks will seem just as miraculous if they happen from a 9-point deficit with a 10-point rule as they do now with a 14-point comeback with a 15-point rule. And 99.9% of matches will have the same winner even with a reduced point differential requirement.
2. Aside from blatant shove-outs, award a point for an opponent stepping out of bounds from the neutral position.
Rationale: Speeds up matches by reducing out-of-bounds stoppages and adding a few more points here and there. Forces exciting wrestling as wrestlers must stay in bounds. Becomes a second-nature rule very quickly, as evidenced by the easy adaptation that took place when freestyle competition adopted a similar rule.
Playing devils advocate on the “step out” rule. So if im controlling the center of the mat and shooting you to the out of bound line and I take one more shot and you do a quarter turn and shoot me out, I’m stalling? Also, what happens if I take a shot in the middle of the mat and drive until you’re off the mat?(not blantly shoved off).
To me a step out rule would be too judgmental, if you want to enforce college rules, so be it. However, if you just say if you get shot out you can be stalling even if there’s a scramble. Not a huge fan of it.

Be honest. Is that room as nice as Purdue’s?
Signed,
Luke Welch’s biggest fan.
In all honesty, I think it is as big as Purdue’s. Purdue also has all the other equipment (treadmills, bikes, weights, etc.) so I think Purdue wins in that regard. However, our mats are brand new, and having coaches office and kids locker room attached is awesome.

Y2, as BLF Snow Cone said, Dyer (Dyer High/Dyer Central) was the Indians just as Lake Central is still today. Dyer Central is now where one of Lake Central's middle schools sit.
