Shout out to Nick Willham for placing 6th at Jr nationals.. He made the semis before losing to phenom Ferrari. Always liked Nick and coached Trizton against him half dozen times and he's gotten so much better and deserves being an all American because the young man works so hard and coming from the successfull wrestling family he does (welch brothers are his cousin and his grandfather is a ref) he is coming along nicely ..I 
look forward to watching him rep the Hoosiers the next 3 years.

I received several text messages asking about CP and Portage canceling winter sports. So I am just trying to shut down the negative energy. I hate all the people who fall victims to the fear. 
 
Portage did go to E-learning until Thanksgiving and they have been consistent in over reacting to covid. Their school colors are red like ours, but they seem to be more blue during the pandemic. 

Not at all. Jesse had to work pretty hard to put weight on for WNO, so he wasn’t giving too much weight up to Vandervere. 61 kilos would have been a perfect weight with the original 2 day weigh ins setup. But with the plus 2 kilos and day before weigh in 59 works out pretty good. 
 
Jesse is pretty excited to test himself against all the established college guys.

Yea it doesn’t help when Portage keeps jumping the gun for the rest of DAC teams. Sports are still a go. Our entire team was on E-learning anyways. #goingred #gettingbluerings #someonehastohashtag

Also our Holiday tournament is now a quad with Perry, Center Grove, and Warren Central. Making the best of a bad situation.

Rex Brewer and I will once again be hosting Indiana High School Wrestling Weekly live on WZBD, 92.7 FM every Monday night at 7 p.m., beginning Nov. 2nd, the first day of the season. 
 
The show will feature coaches and former wrestlers from all the schools in Adams, Wells and Jay counties and we will take a look at results, upcoming matchups, and all things high school wrestling in Indiana. 
 
The show is recorded live at the Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille at Cross Creek in Decatur and is supported by many sponsors, including Haggard, Sefton, Hirschy and Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur. If you are in the greater Decatur area, we would love to see you. The Double Eagle has great meal specials for just $6.99 and it's always fun to talk wrestling before, during, and after the show. 
 
You can hear WZBD in Adams County and all of the surrounding counties, or you can listen anywhere in the world using radio apps like TuneIn Radio (free app).

Our show will also be the place to hear the pairings for Team State in December and we will also be hosting a Pre-State Finals Show in the balcony at Bankers Life again this season.

Yes that is what I was indicating. Could have an Indy and region location to reduce travel so teams could off load their guys that don't make the second day.

How about this...
 
4 locations with 8 teams
Run an 8 person individual bracket with true 2nd on the first day with the top 2 advancing to the second day at Mishawaka. 
Second day run an 8 man tournament with the winners from each location.

I mean same date. You take 106-145. Penn takes 152-285

Maybe Crown Point can host it this year.
