The FACT was he was at 126.0 then 126.1 and back to 126.0 the ref said hes good to go! Then one of the coaches from a bigger school thought oh no little Hammy Heights might beat us we can't have that and went and got him disqualified! Sad part was we forget these are just kids! Was getting this kid disqualified gonna help you win the whole thing? No it didn't! Should of been allowed to wrestle and he would have won and little Hammy Heights would have been top 2 or 3! Good news is were coming for the big guys and were young! Mostly sophomores and juniors!

The ref said he was good and signed off.  30 minutes later in the coaches meeting they said he was over. Then they wouldn't let our back up 126 in because they said weigh ins were over! Coach Meyers should have fought that! The ref should be in control not the home school coach!

He only got on scale once. It was going from 126.o to 126.1 and back to 126.0 the ref said hes good! He left and got dressed. 30 minutes later in coaches meeting they tell our coach "one" of the coaches disputed that and now hes over! Our coach said fine we have a back up 126 then they say weigh ins are over! Thats exactly how it happened!

Here is what happened. (Leaving out names since it's not my place to call out anyone).

Hamilton Heights arrived late after everyone else weighed in so only a few refs and coaches were still in the weigh in room, including me. The wrestler weighed 126.1 on the first scale. Went to the second scale and weighed 126.1 but the official announced that he made weight. However, a coach saw the weight and let the official know what he saw. In the coaches meeting, the official apologized for his wrong doing and explained what had happened. The tournament director did the only thing he could do at that point. Hamilton Height's alternate is the one who was wrongly affected because he didn't know he should have stepped on the scale at weigh-ins.

The official rightfully took the blame. Nobody else did anything wrong.

It was a great tournament with outstanding wrestlers and competition from all the schools. This one mistake should not overshadow the whole day of wrestling.
