  1. This is the first and final year of state finals for my son. It's definitely bitter sweet. I'm sure I'll make my way to quite a few wrestling tournaments next year, but it won't be the same with my favorite wrestler gone. The list of of senior wrestlers that I've enjoyed following is long. Some are done and some are still in it and wish each of them the best of luck this weekend!!!
  2. IMO, fans have nothing to do with choosing or voting on referees or really anything else for that matter. We are just spectators and it ultimately the responsibility falls on the coaches to make the best arguments and decisions for the wrestlers. As far as the refs go, I've seen some good ones and some that need to study up on the rules a bit more. I don't envy a refs job at all, because no matter how good you are someone is always yelling at you!!! Lol
  3. Did Morris from Greenfield Central not wrestle at Sectionals? I might have missed something, but if not, curious to know why. Hopefully not an injury.
  4. 170# & 182# could get crazy. 195# looks deep.
  5. Man I hate to hear of this kind of injury to any wrestler!!! Really wish him the best in his career choice and in a fast and full recovery.
  6. Lol!! I had them all wrote down at work and obviously overlooked it while typing. 126- Collins, Steele, Wagner, Pruit
  7. This is only my best guess as I haven't seen some of these young men wrestle. Listed in placing order. 106- Anderson, Strueder, Pecoraro, Greene 113- Holmes, Ellis, Jerde, Hutson 120- Eiteljorge, Bocock, Wright, Gobeyn 132- Chastain, Eldred, Scott, Coffman 138- Stansberry, Smith, Montgomery, Kern 145- Gaines, Kern, Dombrowski, Breen 152- VanCamp, Greg, Alexander, Bublick 160- Stambaugh, Mazero, Fox, Montes 170- Ragains, Irick, Williamson, Stevens 182- Morales, Steffy, Mac-Dawson, Hoover 195- Hipple, Fuller, Schaefer, Farris 220- Hart, Penola, Ford, Eidson 285- Smith, Hobick, Chakiry, Dollens
  8. you'd pretty much have to give the #1 and #2 a bye first round to put your "draw kids" up against an unseeded or low seeded wrestler. I think that could open up a hole other can of worms!! IMHO.
  9. im not in disagreement that some good kids get put out early, but in most cases, the top 4 seeds are the more consistent wrestlers. I didn't say best because any kid that steps out on the mat can have the best 6 minutes of his wrestling career and beat a seeded wrestler, it happens every year thru out these next few weeks. In the end, I feel the best kids end up at Bankers, imho im not in disagreement that some good kids get put out early, but in most cases, the top 4 seeds are the more consistent wrestlers. 10. First off, thank you for your hard work and efforts in getting these done and out. Your hard work is appreciated. Stambaugh from Lebanon has been wrestling 160# since the holiday tournaments. Not sure, but I'm assuming he will stay at that weight.
  11. They have my son listed as a junior on this site, and every time I see it I really wish it were true!!!! Sometimes I don't know who'll miss it more! Can you imagine a wrestling meet if everyone in the stands had already learned these valuable lessons? Lol
  12. Glad to hear he's going to be fine. It's pretty crazy to see these young men bounce back from some of the abuse they go thru.
  13. I think once a kid steps on the scales, that's it, done deal!!!! Had they weighed in more than one 160#, they should put someone out there. Any thoughts on the increase of these incidents being related to padding for the hopes of a Team State invite? Just a thought.
  14. I think he's wanting to know why North Mongomery isn't in the rankings that are being posted for this year. The teams in the 2A rankings that are being posted on here are showing stats for this year, which will be used (along with results from sectional, regional, SS, and state results) to determine next years participants at Team State. I know it's a complex deal, so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he's not referring to this years event.
  15. Merry Christmas to all!!! Have a safe and happy holiday, and watch the weight boys, holiday tournaments are almost here!!!! Lol
  16. Kudos for gutting it out! Tuff kid and tuff wrestler. Look forward to seeing him 100% ASAP.
  17. I wasn't there, but none of that makes any sense. If he made weight first time on scale, there wouldn't be any need for him to step back on.
  18. Mazero vs Fox first round should be interesting. I hate that they have to meet in the first though.
  19. North Montgomery Bloomington South Hamilton Southeastern New Haven Lebanon Pendleton Heights North Central East Central I'm not 100%, but I think this is correct.
  20. I watched Jackson against North Montgomery and he didn't look 100% yet. I believe that was his first match back. Not sure of his injury, but I'm sure as he'll be tuff to beat once he's back healthy.
  21. A lot of talent under one roof for sure!!! Please post results Saturday, I can't wait to see how some of these match ups turn out.
  22. Couldn't agree more!!! My son got his nose broke in his first match and the Brownsburg staff did a great job of getting him fixed up and even loaned us a mask so he could finish out his day.
  23. I agree!!! My son goes to CIA twice a week (past three years) which is over an hour away. It's definitely worth the drive, effort, and every penny spent. He didn't start wrestling until his freshman year, and between camps, off season tournaments, and CIA it's pretty amazing to me at how he wrestles today compared to then.
