mtv2112
NW Indiana is considered our strongest area for wrestling (I can see the southern folks just gasping for air after reading that ;D). What would be considered Illinois strongest region? Is it the Chicago area or somewhere else? 70% of the Illinois population is centered in Chicagoland. If you backout the population of the Indiana and Wisconsin counties that are included as part of Chicagoland you get about 8.7 million people from teh 12.4 million in the state. Chicago should completely dominate just based upon shear numbers, although Peoria, Springfield, East St. Louis, and Mt. Vernon, IL all have something to say. wrestlingbabe09
yeah there are still no weigh-ins, some of the guys last yr were well over their weights from the season, haha but i heard that illinois's team was really good this yr? i don't really know who's wrestling for them though, but we've got a solid line-up so i'm not worried. cbarnett
Correct... no weigh-ins at this meet, however, they do ask that the kids are within " a reasonable" amount of their weight class. The 7 lb weight allowance I was thinking of was the Indiana/Illinois match that takes place on a state wide basis a few weeks later.
XCard
Yeah I do not think they really worry to much about weight. Anyone remember Morton's Chris Buckler wrestling TJ Williams. Chris was well over his wrestling weight.

jcook
Didn't the crowd boo TJ Williams relentlessly just because the crowd knew he and his brother were awesome? Am i remembering that right?

allyourbase
So without reading through all 4 pages, what "braggin' rights" do you earn from this? Sorry, I am southwest of Indy, I realize "territory" is a big thing now-a-days. Forgive me.
chuckm
I believe this has gone on for 15 or more years, not a recent territory thing. Just local athletes who like to compete rather than talk about who can beat who. I'm sure Indy has something like it.
ontherise219
did Darius Richmond and Garrett Payne turn it down. Why else would they have a 135 bump up to
