  1. Why is East Chicago not following the mat assignments? The brackets have the mat assignment so wrestle them there. Too many schools for me to know which singlet belongs to which school.
  2. Hyway did not bring matside pairing to Indiana. Munster has done matside pairing for several years at their folkstyle tournament. Splitting sessions is also not a Hyway invention. Hobart has done it at their local tournament in the past. ISWA state tournaments have done it for along time as well. Folkstyle tournaments can be paired matside as there is no way to make a mistake, winners wrestler winners, losers move to the conso's. Some local tournaments do not have enough help which is why they take so long. You need enough officials, tablehelp etc to run a smooth tournament. Years ago when local tournaments had 700 wrestlers each club supported the next by sending pairing and mat officials as well as tablehelp to every tournament they attended. Today's society, is not that interested in helping. I think a better question in decided whether or not freestyle is good for the wrestlers is to ask Andrew Howe, Angel Escobedo or Alex Tsirtsis what has helped them get to the level they are at? Where did the college coaches that recruited them see them wrestle? Some how i don't think it was at some Hyway event.

  5. Are you looking for everything? or a specific weight? My mom has the completed brackets with SOME scores (hard to watch wrestling and get all the scores) Not sure if I want to spend hours posting everything.
  6. Wow, 26 schools in Marion County. I looked and Lake County has 22 schools that offer wrestling. 1 out of 22 as opposed to 3 out of 26, and the rest of the state wonders why the regionites complain so much.
  7. 3 teams from Marion County is overkill. Look at the census data and it has less than 1 million . Lake county, the next largest has just under 500,000. If you add all the counties together that all of the schools attend the same regional they have a much larger population than a county that is split into 3 different regionals. http://www.stats.indiana.edu/population/popTotals/2008_cntyest.asp The counties of Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper, LaPorte and Starke have approx 200,000 more inhabitants and they never have the opportunity to send more than 1 participant to team state. Marion County always has 3 opportunities.
  8. Wild Country do you have any idea the difference between living in Griffith or Crown Point? The ISTEP results, the crime rates, the graduation rates? Griffith is a community in transition, not the good kind either. So please don't assume a move to CP is for sports and tell everyone how unethical it is. I would never presume to know the different school districts in any part of the state other than where I live
  9. Myers never "rocked razorback" gear as you put it. He did wrestle for Red Devil Wrestling before Crown Point had an ISWA youth program and he has always attended CP schools
  10. I believe Crown Point already has one
  11. The Times has the line-up posted on their website http://nwi.com/blogs/sports/
  12. Nope. They wrestle tomorrow at LaPorte
