  1. In New Castles case it’s not so much about needing wrestle backs, it’s just a case of talent overload. So many classes have 6 or 7 guys ranked in the top 16 top 20 that unfortunately as fcfighter pointed out 24 will not be punching their ticket. Wrestle backs would definitely help insure the top 4 go but even with that I’d venture to guess over 20 ranked wrestlers still wouldn’t get out. I would like to see a rotation of semi states every other year.

Help me understand this using Cathedral as an example.  As of right now, Zeke Seltzer is showing 16 points earned.  His guaranteed place is 2nd.  For this example, let's say he finishes 2nd.  In that case, is he done scoring at 16?  It lists advancement points as 4.  Are those for the two wins today?  Are there no points awarded for Friday night?

Lukasz Walendzak has 1 point, for a guaranteed 8th place.  It shows no advancement points.  So if he loses is he done at 1 point?  If he wins does he get two more and end at 3 for finishing 7th?

The points don't seem to be matching the scale above.  Is there something I am missing?

Just trying to understand what points have been awarded and what's left to earn.  Only using Cathedral as an example because they are on top according to TW.

And how does Masconi have 19 points with 1 fall 1 major and 1 reg. dec while Slivka only has 18 points with 2 falls and a dec?  I’m just trying to figure our the scoring as well.

Just filled out all my brackets and surprised nobody has mentioned New Castle 145.

    #2 Bryer Hall

    #3 Alex Mosconi

    #4 Aiden Warren

    #5 Antwaun Graves

May not be the deepest weight class, but since they’re all separated, it’s probably the only one that could legitimately place 1-4 at state. Granted it’s not likely that Matt Lee loses in the quarters, it’s possible.

Could have a 1 vs 2,3,4 or 5 on Friday night. Let’s hope NC doesn’t draw EV at that weight.
