To the 1300 of you who got in line quicker than me this time, I hope you’re happy.
I jumped in at 9:45, got errors. Used an incognito tab at 10:05 and just never left that tab and kept refreshing. It kept me in the system itself after I waited in line for the 1200 people ahead of me.

Managed to get tickets. Transferred one to a person through the website but they still aren't showing up on my mobile app.

I have called Ticketmaster. Due to heavy call volume, they aren’t answering.
i emailed them as well.
I tried calling and it said call centers are closed. I made the mistake of being the guy for our few people who is ordering tickets. I just want to go to bed, I'm an old man now.

INTERMISSION
FWIW, the IU student announcer is terrible and has no clue about wrestling... Some of his gems, so far:
- Bisono a "late lineup change for Penn St" - Bisono wrestled Friday night and it was well known Rasheed wasn't going to wrestle
- Featured Jake Danishek as co-wrestler of the week and experience on IU's team. Mentioned him twice about going at 157. Danishek not in the lineup today. Would think he know his own team's lineup?
- described Conley's second takedown as a reversal
- described a Conley mat return as a takedown
- Cassar's "headset" come loose. He just borrowed Bo Nickal's "headset"
- Not a fan of Cassar's footwork - in between Cassar's 2nd and 3rd takedown of Miller
- Called Jason Nolf "Jason Dolf - twice when discussing him wrestling Danishek
- "Minor decision" by Cassar
- Nick Lee from Evansville. Luigs also from Evansville. Probably some familiarity there. lolThis is rough... They can't even look at the bio of what high school they each went to? "Fellow townsperson"

What’s his name?
So you are claiming intimate knowledge of how well liked & successful as a ref he is, but have no knowledge of his alumni status?
I sure am. If you want his name, it isn't hard to find. I have no idea his affiliations.
My part of the conversation is over. All I'm trying to do is bring the conversation back to the rules. To me, he didn't look like he was trying to improve and that opened him up for a call like that. Personally, I probably would have called a stalemate quickly. But who knows, I'm at home watching it on my computer and not one of the best officials in the state this year officiating the State Finals. Better believe I'm working on it though!'
Grab your pitchforks folks, it's looking like a witch hunt!

I just re-watched it 3x. The still shot posted is after his shoulder blades were flat. He put himself in that position with his left shoulder up and right down. The ref saw it and moved into position. He rolled slowly to get back points and as he rolled from one shoulder to another, he was flat for a split second. By the time the ref slapped the mat, his right shoulder was off the mat. It was quick. I don't pretend to know how they teach that or if there is a specific rule for defensive pins. I've seen many a wrestler put himself in that position, but by the time the ref gets down to see it, the moment has passed. Today it just happened for a split second 2' from the refs nose. I can't say whether the call was right or wrong and my "common sense meter" says its probably a call you don't make that quickly. But it could very well be technically the correct call.
Horrible situation. By looking at the video angle the official realized he's in danger and moves to position. The situation barely changes but he never leaves the pinning zone. From the time the situation started, official reacted, and slap of the mat, according to my stopwatch it was past 2 seconds.
Let me be clear... No official ever wants to make that call, especially in the State Semi-Finals. But as officials we can't inject our feelings. Sadly he did pin himself.
Note: As an official I'll speak up if I think it was called correctly if I happen to be looking at the forums. If I disagree with a call you won't see me tough the conversation with a 10 foot pole. You've gotta understand that!

So are you confirming his alumni or involvement status to Cathedral?
No, I'm telling you that you guys are ridiculous. I have no idea where he went to school 10,000 years ago (do you see how old he is?).
Did he improve the situation of the front headlock? No. Case closed. Like it or not that call is one that is applicable.

Was that Mulkeys first stall call
A point was awarded as there had been a warning.

That’s beside the point. don’t think anyone is disputing his actions or repercussions, even for a boneheaded call like that.
they may understand the frustration & anger, but know the penalty. I’d expect you will see their coach with a sincere apology.
If McGinnley had any honor, in a big match for the state final at stake, and seeing an Cathedral alum and Program benefactor on mat to ref, with two kids that have had epic matches prior, would have sought a new ref.
Now we've gone from calling out the integrity of the official to questioning the honor of the coach of the winning wrestler? You guys need to really check yourselves.

BS call all the way around. That ref is a huge supporter of the Irish and the CYO program so he will give the benefit to the mcginns and boys. Mulkey got robbed and that’s all there is to it.
All I can say is they need to find a way to keep refs from supporting schools out of there matches and do a better job at it.
Cant blame Snyder for being pissed because I would have been too. He musta said something to Russel to get tossed.
Careful calling out the integrity of one of the most liked and successful officials in the state of Indiana. He's a great guy, has been around the block a time or two, and knows his stuff.
Did Mulkey attempt to improve his positioning off of the front headlock? No. It doesn't matter if you agree fully with the call or not. It's clear he didn't try to improve so stalling is something that can be called. Could it have been called a stalemate? Of course.

I could live with stalemate.... But if you don't think he was stalling I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell ya. Was he trying to improve his position.??....no!
Either way, gutsy call.
Agree. The question is, was he trying to improve his position. If he wasn't, it's stalling. Take everything else out of it. I watched it again. He made zero attempt to improve, and it wasn't being hindered by the other wrestler.

Good coaches will always fight for their kids. I would probably think a little less of a coach who didn't get kicked out in that situation.
Fighting for your kid and acting like that are two different things. I can't imagine the words that actually came out of his mouth.

That should mean he has to leave the building, right? If you get tossed?
Indeed. But, it's a big building and he could easily just grab a ticket.

Yep, that ref crew should never do a state final again
I think Mulkey was on the throat, IMO it very easily could have been a penalty point.

I assume a flagrant misconduct then?

Did Snyder get hit with unsportsmanlike? I couldn't tell.

Sorry, I’m going to listen IHSAA Officials on this site/forum before I listen random poster on this subject . Obviously you only heard what you wanna hear on the phone.
Its pretty clear they have banned the Knee Sleeve, Elbow Sleeve. The Officials on this site wouldn’t mislead on a Rule.
Indeed. I think you take take the top officials in the state at their word. They know a little bit... As in they are rules interpreters for the state and have direct access to federation interpreters.
