JMILL got a reaction from Bulldog89 in 2019 MS Heartland Duals Gold and Blue Teams
After MS state we have quickly finalized the teams with firm commitments from all of the below kids to finalize the rosters.
It should be noted that this is the quickest we have gotten all commitments locked down and to my recollection the most 1st and 2nd place finishers to make up the teams.  I have to admit I was skeptical about the early weigh ins affecting this and it appears it had no affect on getting the best kids to participate in the Team IN teams for Heartland Duals so to Center Grove people I say thank you for all you have done to make this years MS state a success.
With that being said here are the MS teams:
           GOLD                                                        BLUE

I have heard he is possibly involved in an internet dating site for people seeking other people who love cats.  They have frequent cuddle puddle's at a cat sanctuary downtown near Mass ave area at a place called "TOTS".  I hear he is really enjoying his time there and thinking of making it a permanent part of his life.
I guess his new found life is making him very happy these days !!!!

Well.... a little history lesson. It was 2015 when the four founding fathers @JMILL @DLane @TeamGarciaand @Mattyb were in a really meaningless group text and came up the (numbersign)TheCounty. Since then, our area has been on a rise on the high school level (after years of success at the youth level). Some call it a coincidence, but.... the numbers don't lie.
Thank you to @Y2CJ41 for always having our backs and being our number one fan!

@decbell1 he is not serious he is addressing his long standing issues with elementary team state and the teams trying to fill open spots by using wildcards (some in the past have used wildcards in place of their own club kids and he takes issue with that).

Hats off to the little wildcats for a hard fought win over my little Orioles. Great team / great sportsmanship.
Proud of my guys too. The Orioles have made the finals all 9 years of the existence of the tourney. Those that have came to this over the last 9 years know, how hard it is to make the finals once.
A HUGE thank you to the ISWA staff. For those that don’t know, these are the same people that ran team state in Fort Wayne last night. They pretty much did not sleep this weekend. These folks get a ton of complaints as almost no complements. THANK YOU all!!!
Looking forward to year 10 next year!

Size doesn’t matter much , about 5-6 years ago I seen 2 kids weight about 69 lbs and the other about 71 lbs soaking wet come away 2nd & 3rd place that year.
(Trey Lane & Asa Garcia) If they got the Skill & Technique, let them wrestle . Kids weight is nothing but a number or a excuse .

Brooks Wathen will in fact not be able to compete this year due to his recovery from ACL patellar graft reconstruction.  Early in the football season Brooks sustained a grade 3 tear of his right ACL, and at that time with guidance from his orthopedic surgeon, he made the decision to attempt to continue to play football in a brace with hopes of also wrestling in the brace.  Brooks was able to complete the football season while missing only a couple of games and as the wrestling season began, Brooks was optimistic as he was learning how to manage wrestling in the large apparatus.  As the second and third weeks of practice came and went, I was becoming less and less hopeful.  I watched Brooks return home each night in excruciating pain and knowing that things would only get worse as matches began, I began to lose any hopes that I possessed of Brooks competing at all this year, let alone making a return to Bankers Life.  In Brooks’ last few practices, while compensating for lack of use of his right knee, he began to strain his left LCL.  At this point, with the realization that Brooks would ultimately not be able finish his senior year and most likely end up needing both knees reconstructed, I encouraged him to surrender.
If you have spent any time at all around Brooks, you know that there is no quit in him and you understand how difficult not being able to finish is for him.  His ride started at age four at pee wee 40 and concludes 14 years and 125 lbs later somewhat short of his goal.   Time sure does fly!
