My guess is since he is transferring from EMD to Castle there wouldn't be any issues private to public or vice versa given the cost factors alone.
 
However, going a step further 1) Hayhurst started at Castle; and 2) Coach Schaefer is genuinely about as nice as they possible come - though a fierce competitor - and wants what is best for all athletes not only on but off the mat. Coach Schaefer was an assistant at Beech Grove prior to returning to EMD, in my time knowing him there if I were ever to relocate to Indiana and pick a coach to coach my children it would be coach Schaefer.

I want to thank everyone who made this event possible. This was an amazing opportunity for our team and our community. I can imagine a lot of 1A fans were wondering where all those light blue shirts were from. Martinsville was a great host. I am so glad that the IHSCWA believes in the dual format of this sport and recognizes a champ. After our day ended at Martinsville I got the boys back to the school and realized they were holding the Brownsburg v CP dual. So the wrestler in me drove straight from Cascade to Brownsburg and I was able to catch the final 10 matches of one of the most competitive duals in Indiana history probably. It was an amazing weekend for Indiana Wrestling! Thank you to everyone who made these events happen! Hopefully the Cascade Cadets will be back next year!

Our second year at the event and loved it even more than last year which is a pretty high bar to clear.  We lost more than we won in finishing 8th, but each one of our duels came down to the last match.  Many kids on our roster will never make a deep run in the state series so it is great that they get to take part in something that intense and fun.  It was an incredible time for our kids and hoping we can earn the invitation again next year.

Why the IHSAA needs to recognize this and have it exactly like the football tournament. All in for teams that have 7+ weights filled.

I can't wait to be in this seeding meeting in December, let's hope Steve and Fabian have extra security cause its going to get heated!!!!!!!!

States? 

Adams Central is a small school (1A) that has had a bunch of qualifiers and placers.  This year is our 23rd year in a row with a representative at the state finals. Also 41 out of the last 42 years a kid has qualified. Most of the kids are multi sport athletes as well. 2 of our 3 qualifiers this year were 1st team Junior All State in Football this season. 

Guessing he was going off prior years results.  I forget about it myself.  Kinda a odd you guys moved for this season but no other changes. Going to miss the team at Jeff.

One concern I have with the rating system is that the coaches get the officials mixed up sometimes and give a rating to the wrong person.   Id like to quote "Little Vito".  He got 29 votes and only had involvement with 9 of those schools this year.   BigBlue02 mentioned  he had votes from schools he didn't work this year never had worked.
 
The Scholar also does some officiating believe it or not.   I got 29 ratings votes this year.  (Note I didn't get any 1s) Yea.   
Here's some some of my stats.    Of the  29 ratings from different schools I received,   I only worked matches with 11 of those schools this year (JV or Varsity).
I just counted all the schools that I did see this year and I counted 40 schools.   I might of missed one or two.   But of those 40 schools,  I only got 11 ratings votes.   So only 27.5% of the coaches voted.   Also 18 of the 29 ratings, I had no matches with this year or 62%.
Also,  some of those schools could be ratings  with memories of prior seasons.  But  12 out of those 18 votes, I have never officiated with those schools in prior years either.   Obviously there's some confusion.   Some of the more experienced well know refs probably get more accurate  results since the coaches know them better.
 
In dual matches, we sign books that might help the coaches remember who we are,  but a lot of times they probably don't always remember the officials names. 
 
I was thinking of an idea.   Maybe print some business cards and give that to the coaches after the match.   I wonder if the coaches would appreciate this?   
 
PS:  This is only meant to be constructive, and is no criticism of the coaches, so please hold that against the refs in the ratings.
