Not sure nobody has brought up Thee Creator, Poster Influencers, Poster Enforcer, Poster Icon, Founder, wouldn’t be no Indianamat, nothing to talk about wrestling yet, has more content on here than white river has fish and… first and foremost has dealt with our poster shenanigans on here since the beginnings Good or Bad !

I am a Fort Wayne guy and I think that Fort Wayne wins at 106, 144, 157, 165, 175, and 215.  That is 6 and I think they could get 1 more match at either 120, 138, or 285.  I know the Mooresville Regional would be a favorite over all 3 Semi-States on paper but I was impressed how close I think Fort Wayne is to them.  I chose to compare to Fort Wayne because I am a Fort Wayne guy.

After rereading it, I can see how it reads as disrespectful but I think it is noteworthy they are close (since Mooresville had 6 champs) and not looking to disrespect but just thought it would be a fun scenario.

    I don’t see it at 106 but I’m 45 and need bifocals . Last I seen it, it was 13-0 Malone .

This is what I've been talking about for years. When was the last time the champ and runner-up team came from the same place. Throw in a very good Avon and a bunch of "small school super teams". Zero place to hide and good kids absolutely get left behind in that regional.

Also look at the numbers and then realize that Franklin Community should be in that regional. This was the first year they weren't. Annnnnn wow o wow they suddenly have 9/10 semistate qualifiers. Franklin has always been good. It's just a meat grinder of a regional.

Everyone complained about how the Perry regional got altered and the good teams that got added. (Those teams are great btw) and still with the added teams it still didn't get to the level of Mooresville (minus a good team)

The crown point regional is tough because Cp is in it. The Perry regional just got tougher. But they still fall short of Mooresville by a lot. It's honestly kinda ridiculous the ihsaa let's it continue. Yes it is a soure of pride for those that have to deal with it, but that doesn't always make it right or fun.

2015-2016 year was the start, at the time you had Big Group of kids going to Contenders & Red Cobra, I’m going to say (30) i have a picture if I can find it just from Contenders that was feeding Danville, Avon, Brownsburg, Plainfield, Cascade, Center Grove, Ben Davis, Tri West, Monrovia .

That was the tip of Giant Iceburg that’s gonna hit Indiana Wrestling .

2018-Present you got over 70-80 high schoolers that come out of these Academies . Elementary & Middle Schools Biys & Girls 150+ training at 2 locations for Contenders & Red Cobra daily . You think it’s bad now , wait till those 150+ feed into schools with a wrestling IQ off the chart in the coming years . Mooresville is gonna get better and tougher . Schools is going to even more nastier than they are now .
For those that don’t believe me just look at ISWA Triple Crowns, State Champions, #’s these Academies are pulling in . Going to be a Wrestler Fan Dream going to this Regional in a few years . It already is with the talent . You heard it first Indiana ! THEIR COMING !

Boe's wrestling in Illinois. Veazy was ruled ineligible. According to an article I read, he was formally adopted by a family in Colorado that his parents in FW felt could provide a solid family situation for him away from some things in FW. But the Colorado HSAA felt, according to their rules, that there were ties too close to his coach's wrestling club for the move not to have been for athletic reasons. So they made him sit out a year.

Boe is in Florida at Highland Prep.

Rojas Is at Wyoming SEMS in PA I believe.

Well this topic went a bit sideways.

The intent of my original post and topic was that we as coaches have a responsibility to see that injury time isn't abused.  There is a difference between an injury and using the injury timeout to collect your thoughts, breath, escape a situation, etc.

If we as a wrestling community are ok with using injury timeout as a strategy, well then my friends, we are no better than basketball and that's a direction I would rather not take.

Also, single class wrestling sucks, there, that should get this topic headed in the right direction...

So….. @Chris Cooperwhere does the picture of a dead horse should pop up at .

Past matches with Weaver wouldn't have mattered much since Noah's had such rapid recent physical and skill growth into what he is now. Still, it would be tough not to pick Veazy as champ if these 3 wrestled each other.

The way Weaver picked apart 2023 State Runner Up and a very accomplished wrestler and athlete that I known since he’s 4 years old in McConnell excellent defense wrestler . You don’t score very many points on that type of wrestler .  When the ref raised his hand . I looked at Asa and said . Explicit word .WOW !  Where is Rossville ? Then Gunner who has very tight matches with Kaden this year UTB, scoring was a minimum and he does it again to him.

Gunner and Veazy are tight matches . I wouldn’t be surprised if Weaver scores same amount of points on Veazy . Matchups make or brake wrestlers . Weaver I think is a bad matchup for all 3 .

  10.  Not taking away anybody Wrestling Skill, Age, Grade .

For the Freshman at those weights I’d say Top 5 Placers . Hungry Seniors at that weight, Freshman either have to phenomenal athletes or absolute HAMMERS . Not saying it can’t be done .

Veasy … Top 3, Gunner and Veasy exchange wins and loses though out their careers . Would he beaten Weaver this year ? Idk, if they wrestled in the past or not .

  11. Like it, Hate it, Love it, Turn it, Shake it, Flip it, Stomp it, Talk it, Walk it … whatever you wanna do with it .
Injury Time/Blood Time will always be a rule in HS Folkstyle Wrestling Folks . Refs has the wrestlers well being 1st and foremost in matches .Thats wrestling for ya folks , always has, always been . It’s never ever gonna change .
