This tells a little of the story to why he had such an up and down season last year https://huskers.com/news/2019/11/21/wrestling-red-confident-after-overcoming-mental-hurdles.aspx

  7. Sir, with all due Respect. You need to do some research in the Youth section. There is a fabulous section every year on incoming Freshman that will make an IMPACT. Yes the Region has a lot of talent. But your are overlooking 3 of the TOP 5!! Jones (BBurg) , Purdy (Castle) & Schoeff (Avon) will make a run at a Berth to go to State in their Weight classes ! BT19

Bit of a slow start to that match. It took him 4 seconds to tie up that mixer. Not sure what he was doing for the first 3 seconds.

  12. Chad Red was 2-0 over the weekend. In a dual against Wyoming on Friday he came away with the 5-1 decision. He had just a single takedown, but dominated the match with 3:20 of riding time. On Sunday he took all of 2:10 to put an 18-0 tech on UNI's Blockhus. After a slow start he had the Blockhus in a 6 point mixer 4 seconds into the match. The only reason it took 130 seconds is because Red took time to debate with ref whether he had stopped one move to be awarded the 4 the ref was holding or not. As dominating a performance as you will see. With Red off to a much stronger start than in the previous two years this sets up the Nebraska v PSU dual on Jan 24 as must see TV (Red v. Lee 3) for Indiana fans. Red is 5-1, having only lost to Dom Demas, with a 40% bonus rate. Meanwhile, Lee is 6-0 with an 83.3% bonus rate (3 pins, 2 TFs). Prior to Jan 24, Lee does not face a ranked wrestler, while Red has Moran (Wis, 11) and Murin (Iowa, 9) between now and then.
