Evansville Semi State

I like em, I'd say if Van Horn makes it to the finals he gets the win this time over Pierre. That being said anyone of them plus a few more could win 45. Very little separation between these guys.

I agree he could win and that really 145 is wide open. I just went with Pierre because he is already a state qualifier and he is a senior. Although that match at team state was awesome with Pierre getting a very late takedown, but Van Horn was in on some shots just not able to finish them.

In honor of the Ford Center,

TripleB's and gang's "Built Ford Tough" locks will be coming tomorrow.

As will his KITT picks(Black Mustang = Dark horses, it's a stretch, I know)

Along w/ best (or worse depending on where you're from) curtain jerkers, Charles Barkley draws (good kids, turrrible draws), and ticket round matches.

Patiently waiting triple B lol....Until Triple B  gets his review posted tomorrow Ill try to keep up the Eville talk!

The most underrated wrestler in the Evansville semi state has to be Gus Dajani from Bloomington South.

As a Junior Dajani went 29-10 wrestling Bl. South’s brutal schedule. His losses were to

Damien Stone C. Groce 1-2

Nathan Wright Mater Dei 2-3 and 0-8

Gavin Jolley-Little 1-3

CJ Andry Paoli 1-7

Georgia Blades Warren Central 3-11

Kade Maggert Penn 0-8

Donte Winfield 1-4

Justin Sampson 1-8

And his semi state loss was against Terrance Kyles Ev. Harrison 2-4

Everyone of these guys he lost were studs last year!

This year Dajani is 37-3.  He has lost twice to Gavin Jolley-Little 1-3 in sudden victory and 1-2 in OT. I’m not sure who his other loss is to.  Dajani has beaten Ethan Schwoeppe Southridge last year at regionals and this year at regionals but yet Schwoeppe has been ranked 13th in the state.  Dajani is not ranked.  Schwoeppe is also ranked higher in semi state rankings.  This is no swipe at Ethan, I’m just using him for comparison.

Dajani has a win over Chet Maxey from Hamitlon Southeastern 8-0.  Maxey is a regional champ and should punch his ticket to state.

2-1 winner over Selm Franklin County.  Selm is a regional runner up and will run into Wesley Bernard Cathedral in the ticket round.

4-0 winner over Kessler North Central who is a semi state qualifier.

Needless to say I think Dajani get it done this year!  He doesn’t look like your typical HWT wrestler at all…maybe that’s why people overlook him lol.

Got called home to be w sick kid.

Dusted off old computer that hasn't been on in years to bust out the preview.

It's stuck on this screen: oregontrail.jpg

Gonna have to run some updates. Hopefully it be up by last call tonight.

Oh and I think if Dajani and GJL meet in finals it will set back my argument that HWTs aren't boring by 10 years. If its O vs Dajani then I'll take O. But either way I got Dajani in finals.

Did washington have anyone that made it and do they still have the same coach?  Seems like he is always dressed for an Al Capone shootout during prohibition.

Washington has several kids (I think 5 or 6) in semi state tomorrow.  Yes their coach does resemble him haha
