jDub
Kayla Miracle won the Plymouth sectionals today. Is that that the first time in Indiana for a female, or has it been done before? She's now 36 - 0 with 20 pins; and ranked! Awesome season!

jDub
I heard that Kayla is the only ranked wrestler in her Regional. Assuming she wins it, will that be an Indiana first as well?

navy80
She is not the first female to win a sectional championship. Rachel Monroe 103, from sullivan won a sectional title back in 2001/02. Her record was something like 23-6ish Miracle looks to be the favorite in the regional. How awesome would that be if she won
XCard
Nice job by Miracle. What is her schedule like? Hope to see her succeed, but she definitely has a meat grinder in the Merrilville Semi-State to accomplish qualifing for State this year. Good luck to her on attemting to accomplish the feat. throw45
Saw Miracle for the first time this season. She is tough, not flashy, just tough. She stays in good position and has all the skills necessary to bang with the best at Merrillville. She's probably gonna need more offense on her feet to make it out, but she is definitely right there!
Coach Miracle
Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. Kayla really appreciates the support. We feel very blessed and take nothing for granted. The Regional will be tough. She will have to wrestle well to win it. With Penn and Mishiwaka there you know that there will be some well coached battle hardened wrestlers to get through. One thing is for sure though....it will be fun to watch
