Appreciate anything you can provide. Following on Floarena is almost pointless.

Yeah, you can't watch all 4 matches at once this year. Also, the camera angles have been pretty terrible.

Wrestling119 got a reaction from brodygrant in Balance between Football and Wrestling
You can explain to him why you think he should wrestle: He has high potential, possibly give him a better opportunity for a scholarship, etc. You can even explain to him how it makes you proud to watch him wrestle. However, at the end of the day, you have to let him make his mind up. Even if you know it is the wrong decision. Like Fabio said, if you push him he will just want to wrestle less and less.

Give him the option to wrestle in the off season. Then let him decide if he wants to do that or football prep. He will thank you in the long run.

Just a reminder to anyone who wants to not get anymore work done today. The duals are streaming for free on trackwrestling. Enjoy the nice weather

Wrestling119 got a reaction from Bruins2013 in Changing Starting Weights in the Individual State Tournament
Yeah, I think that a random draw for each level could happen after conferences are completed. Then everyone would have at least a few days to plan for sectionals and 4 weeks to plan for state.

Yeah, kids should just sit on the couch and play video games all off season since long distance running won't help at all with wrestling.

I would hope Ramos would take an easy on your pee-wee so he doesn't have to go to the ER.... Unless you mean Ramos going to the ER because your pee-wee is one mean dude.

I know quite a few are playing soccer now. Keeps them in good running shape, but the lifting aspect that football brings isn't there.

Wrestling119 got a reaction from Brown boys in Biggest darkhorse
I think he is being overlooked because of Nick Lee teching him at Semi-State. Great wrestler, but Lee and Red are a few steps above.

Wrestling119 got a reaction from OldManStrength2117 in best friday night matches
106:
#5 Tanner DeMien vs. #9 Jacob Moran - I'll take DeMien by decision
120:
#5 Blake Glogouski vs. #6 Kyle Luigs - Probably the match I'm looking most forward to on Friday. Ill take Glogouski by 1.
126:
#4 Austin Holmes vs. #9 Michael DeLaPena - I'm taking DeLaPena with the "upset".
#7 Logan Dilbeck vs. #8 Marcus Mejia - I'm going out on a limb and taking Mejia by pin.
145:
#5 Isaac Eicher vs. #10 Austin Bethel - Should be a great match, up there with Glogouski v. Luigs for me. I'll take Eicher.
182:
#3 Cameron Jones vs. #17 Ashton Mutuwa - I have Jones winning, but I'm interested to see if Mutuwa can pull the upset.
I know I'm missing a lot of great Friday night matches, but these are the few that I will not be missing.

Semi-State pick-ems are already completed and the results will be shown before state I'm sure. State pick-ems will probably be released soon based on what y2 said on another thread.

Wrestling119 got a reaction from NavyGonzo in Friday night upset alert?
At 170 I think 4 seed Goddard could beat Baumgartner. Their first match had Baumgartner winning 5-3 in OT. Should be a good match regardless of outcome.
