Aaron Sessa, Keith Garrard (one the best 1x placer imho went in to be all all American at wabash) Chris Barnhizer, Charlie Pingleton might be the best considering he got runner up twice and ended up being a national champ in college.

If Shafer wrestles like the kid I seen at the NC Semi State.... he’s your state champ. He’s a specimen. And no he’s not from my sons school

They need to revoke the tickets

With out a doubt. It is unfortunate, I like that the IHSAA was able to get some tickets to the parents

As I recall in 2001 Macke avenged the loss to Clark the following week at Team State.  I was a fan of the teams wrestling mid-week during the individual series.  Now granted that may not have been the best concept for the wrestlers, but as a fan it was a great month!

I gave him 50k because he adds so much material and insight to the threads.

Might be a little biased but Aidan Hardcastle is probably the best ever to wear the plain blue Oak Hill singlet. Think our enrollment is around 600.

1999 was a good year for state champs from smaller schools.

Tonte makes a good argument, but just the eye test it is always Brandon James and Craig Macke for me! Macke was knocked out twice by arguably the best to do it in Indiana in Angel Escobedo!

Jonathan Brownlee - FW Snider is my pick. Wrestled him my freshman year at the Spartan Classic and he beat me so fast and thoroughly I don't even remember stepping on or off the mat. 

Another big one Alex Johns Evansville Reitz took 3rd twice I believe lost to Brandon Wright in the Semis by one point each time

Austin Bethel is number #1 .. Pinned Joe Lee . And I think he pinned Brayton as well .. Fact check that one.. And he is a great young man ..

He was a monster and we had some good matches but he always got me.. he lost to Steven James of pike in ticket round..I beat James in Freestyle the summer before and was  very familiar with James because of Wrestling him and my team mate beating him in the SS semis the year before... Thompson was a fire plug that was a ball of muscle! I lost to Barnhizer in regional Semis 6-4 and Thompson beat him in the finals... He was def one of the better dudes I seen not make it..I lost in the ticket round 2x myself (Jerry Gordon and then Unbeaten Cramsey) and it still eats me alive.

Barnhizer and myself had multiple wars back in the day as well.. He was a stud.

Boyeee totally forgot him! Yes he def a monster... He was nationally ranked among few others in his weight his senior year.

Hes the only 3x runner up I can think of..
