I was there a couple years.  Cut my teeth on learning how freestyle worked at it when I had just got into folkstyle in MS. Nothing like being flipped around a few time, the match being called, and then looking around asking “why is it over and how did I lose”.   Those medals were pretty solid though.  The State Games were actually multiple events throughout Indianapolis over the weekend.  I think the funding/sponsorship just kinda fizzled out for it after awhile.  It seems like I remember on year looking into signing up and learning they decided to cancel it for that year.  Then by the next year nothing was put out.       

 
On a similar note I also miss not having the Great Lakes Wrestling Tournament that Purdue used to host back in the early 90s which was a good draw of talent.

This definitely dates my lackluster career, but nothing like getting psyched up in 1988, listening to The Jones by Flotsam and Jetsam, a 4 min instrumental.  Certainly made the butt whoopings I was fixing to receive more tolerable

Just talked to a buddy from Franklin County, and he confirmed that Shafer is yet to see the second period this season. All first period pins. Just FYI. 

With thieves all logic is out the window! The fact that they went out of their way to rig pass codes, right there tells us that they didn't "accidently" get the wrong ones.. this crap right here will shine a light on the few of the bad apples that in other ways might be a cancer to the sport in man other manners!
 
I have no actual children in the sport  and coach and train kids out of love that I have for the sport that saved my life in many ways, so I never expect money or anything in the regards to Monetary value all I want is their best version of themselves, that our training can Create...
 
So I know how hard these kids work to get this far and the dedication it takes to become a wrestler, so when we have some fn Thieving Scrubs trying to take away from these kids and their family, I get more than upset.. If the kids aren't first in every aspect of the sport, then your heart isn't in the right place to begin with and need not to exude their slimey ways upon our sport! If they would stoop that low, imagine what else scumbag crap they do when nobody's looking! This sport is tough enough in every regard, and to advance to the state finals as it is, you don't need these busters out here thieving, thinking they're slick and can blatantly rob these kids! I could go on all day about this trash 🗑️ and how much I despise it.

He's been on a mission! He was 220 vs my guy last season and was huge then I seen him in football and about fainted.. Imagine him running the 🏈 at you!

The whole situation was something you couldn't even make up.. Haha. Sounds like a typical adventure for those parts.  I actually know Ben from ages ago.  I haven’t seen him much in the last several decades, and I don’t keep up on social media with anyone, but nice to hear the name.  

Now there is no need to insult me like that.     They tend to be our schools wrestling rival, since we are the only schools in either county to have a wrestling program.  Seymour is in Jackson, next county to the left.

- Did not qualify for semi-state as a Junior (pinned Saturday of regional)
- Finished third at sectional his senior year (went on to win regional, sem-istate, state in following weeks)
- At semi-state, avenged an 0-4 (!!) record against one opponent from throughout the season
- Won 3 OT matches (one of which was UTB) on Saturday to win his title
 
If catching lightning in a bottle is real, then Jeremiah's state title run was certainly an example.
