You have to know what you're doing and how to position yourself. My son had at least 40 pins by spladles and never give up a defensive fall.
I remember Elijah Dunn last year at regionals pinning himself in a spladle while the ref was only looking at Dunn's shoulders. Bad moment like started earlier. Elijah got up thinking he had the pin. I believe the match might have been for advancing to SS .
Congrats Quinn..Great kid and family. Every weekend for the last 10-12 years you would see him making his rounds at tourney to say hey to everyone. Good luck the next month bud. I'll be seeing you next weekend. Gotta work tomorrow to finish off the Lucas oil remodel.
Great post.. Everyone that knows me knows that's the main one I had to work on. You do miss it alot after your kids is done. Spent every weekend/weekday somewhere wrestling being in state or out of state for 12 years. I sure learned alot in those years and met alot of great people. 1 thing that always stuck with me was about 10 years ago Tonte saying it's not a sprint it's a marathon. Sad part is one day your kid crosses the finish line.
All that rankings for 1 awesome Indianamat shirt..
Mike you do a great job year after year..along with the semi state and team ranking guys..
Alot of work and is truly appreciated.. Thanks
Always looked forward to watching this tourney. You know most bracket was going to have some of Indiana top ranked studs. Last year there was a little rough for my kid. Put him out till sectionals.
That is really pretty cool. Haven't seen the dominator belts but i like the change up. Opportunity to receive something different than the same medals/trophies.
I guess it is who you watch mostly..i know Kelly as well as fleener real well..there is funk in every match. But for real those are the only 2 people i have ever seen that can make a defensive move into an offensive move...Spadle...
My wife suffurs from migraine and it is horrible. Can't image someone being physical or even being around lights and sounds. You have one tough kid and he will bounce back well. Good luck Hudkins
I'll add to what tom was saying we first got into wrestling 12 years ago when our older sons signed up for wrestling. We were the wild ones. The rookies..Being beside you guys for all these years really open our eyes on to something we strive to try to be like you and how you guys raised your kids/athletes. We might of hit a few bumps along the way..a couple ejections... quite a few ejections. A tazor or 2. But look at all this now. Some of the best kids and parents i love to be around. So thanks guys for raising that standard so high...Earl Fleener
Yep..Thats the way it went down. Bailey told him he didn't feel right to go out and get his hand raised like that but Brendan talked him into it. They done knew that lahue was going to inj default to black because of his knee. You just don't see that kind of stuff happening. I was going to bring it up. Black didn't want no praise or thanks from it he just felt it was the right thing to do. A class act right there..
