Kobe Woods and Denzyl Prentice are two of the most fun-loving and hard-working people I’ve ever been around. It was an absolute pleasure.

What are some of the best face off moments you can recall? Chad Red in the shiny pants? Mine is Spence Spencer Lawrence North with the black gloves. I've been wearing them ever since.

You know I got respect for you and your boys, Mr. Garcia, but the states with more than one champ have been kicking our butts for a long time. Young Stanley will find tougher competition in Illinois than he will Indiana and that’s just based on facts once you take in rankings, schedules, and placements.

So we went to Illinois to avoid the Elite ? I think we have a wrestler named Ben Davino at the same weight class this year in Illinois and knew what weight class he wrestles . Sergio Lemley looks like he did pretty good in Indiana as a sophomore and must have been running the other 3 years . This might be one of the dumber comments you have made. We live in Indiana and love the Indiana set up with one class . But acting like Indiana one weight class is superior to all other states because of one champ seems like a crazy statement .

Two-time NCAA champ at Michigan, Jarrett Hubbard. He went on to coach at Thornwood High School in South Holland, IL, and got several Harvey Twisters deep into the high school state tourney.

Two of the best from SW Indiana: Jason Greer and James Brimm.
Jim Shannon (Brimm's stepfather) was a long time referee as well.

This is showing my age but James Tannehill (sp?) was a big influence and figure in Indiana Wrestling when I competed and first started coaching. Saw him almost every weekend!

As a brotha, I initially mistook this post for someone airing out their grievances 🤣

From a coaching standpoint, Absolom Bryant, Mo Gunn, Nick Hull, and Chad Red have gone above and beyond for many different people in this sport and I couldn’t be more grateful we have them.

In honor of Black History Month, I’d like to know who are some Black wrestlers and coaches who’ve made an impact on this sport for you in some way whether as a fan, wrestler, or teammate? Indiana has a rich history of Black athletes and leaders in wrestling, and it’s always good to see their efforts celebrated. Share any stories or memories you have.

Finally. Someone with some sense and a respectable, realistic take. I absolutely understand someone picking Hockaday, but to act as if Tylin has zero shot considering his own body of work is crazy.

I'm sorry I don't know all the past coaches names, but growing up in the Region, Wrestling in the Region & Coaching in the Region and my dad being a member of the first city champ team I have always admired the passion of the Gary West Side coaches. : Kylan Taylor, Eugene Johnson and the ones before them.
