I guess I am old school, but that is disturbing to me.  Here are a few reasons why it should be discouraged in my opinion.  First, wrestling probably shouldn't be such a priority for parents or kids at that age to want to give up a year of future earnings and leave their classmates so they have a better shot at winning matches.  Secondly, I think a year of taking your losses is a great lesson in life and the sport that will only help you later on and missing that lesson is definitely not going to help when you finally become a freshman in college if you continue in the sport.  I personally would much rather have a kid who struggles and then succeeds than a kid who took an advantage to make it easier to succeed when it comes to preparing for the beatings you will get in college.
I am not trying to attack those who did it.  Maybe a few even have a valid reason for it besides wrestling.  I just personally don't like it and think it isn't going to help them in the long run.

You think you are, but you may want to spend a little more time with the books. You should start with set theory as you are clearly mixing up the sets. It probably feels like Indiana is bigger than the nation to you, but you may may be surprised to learn that it is actually a subset of the nation. I think that is covered in the first chapter.

Not even close, Ditka all the way! Before the heart-attack, a 'one-hundred to tree', after the attack, major decision, 'fifteen to tree', these guys couldn't escape Ditka's mustache, end of story.

Mendez and that isn't a knock on Lee.  

Unlike Lee Mendez was able to put returning state champ on his back and win.  Lee didn’t!  No excuses 

Definitely the premier match of the tournament. I expect the score to be closer than the Al Smith match. Both are always on the attack, should be a lot of action. Mendez is probably the best freshman I have ever seen and I think this match is the determining factor between a one-loss 3x champ and undefeated 4xer. I’d like to say the senior vs. freshman aspect will be a factor, but it never seems like the moment is too big for Jesse.

I personally believe the weekly articles have added a great reason to visit the website every week. On top of that there are some great stories out there beyond the wrestling mat. I know personally I have become a fan of many of the kids from the articles.

Just a shout out to the people who bring the Mon. - Wed. articles.  I have really enjoyed, and anticipated reading these tales through out the season, for several years. Thank you!

Silas Allred was dominant at New Castle. He's an excellent athlete and all that, but he is so slick and technically advanced. It's hard to believe he's a junior

It can be argued that those :02 were the difference thay gave Brownsburg the team title.  Montgomery scored 15.5 team points.  BB won by 13.5.  Every second counts and Brownsburg proved it today.

My vote for most dominating performance goes to Silas Allred. He pinned everyone, with the longest match going about a minute and a half. Wow

At this point you can’t really say clearly with Watts winning 8-5.  But it’s what most people were expecting to see in the finals. 

You never want to lose, but the reward might be a rematch with Mendez in the semis when it should clearly be under the lights.
