So good to see that Parker Reynolds is making a strong recovery after a medical condition almost sidelined his athletic career. Really respect the dedication and mental resolve he's shown to get back to a point where he can hope to fulfill some of his dreams. (And kudos to CRed helping him get there...)

Gunnar had backs that were not awarded also. What a difference a day makes. Brownsburg coaches and coach Red came up with great match strategies and Gunner came up big!!! Super tough and coachable kid. Well deserved 32 placement for the future Wyoming Cowboy. 

Congratulations Gunner and the Henry family!  Wyoming got a great one!  This kid has it all.  Incredibly talented, mature, and outstanding work ethic. He’s also a tremendous leader.  He cares about his teammates.  Glad Wyoming doesn’t get him for a couple more years!

Would recommend doing a bit of research before making accusations such as yours - I've occasionally heard that sarcasm being defined as protest of the weak... 
 
But for purposes of debating your premise, I would suggest using the allusion to the movie, A Field of Dreams... That has a bit more to do with the effect than your assertion...
 
There are kids that will never make the varsity lineups at places like CP and BB that would be SQ at other locales. I have seen parallels in other sports at former MIC schools, too. I truly get the difficulty that programs have in rural areas even fielding teams anymore (I graduated from one that can barely field a football team now after winning a Class A title ~20 years ago)
 
But the chaos that exists due to certain regions being powerful over different eras begs the question on whether there is value in spacing out the talent in the current format or altering the format to allow very good wrestlers to advance (wrestling backs).
 

Too bad a program can't enter an additional roster and send them through a different semi state... No longer have a dog in the fight (pun intended), but I bet the 2's from Brownsburg would score high enough to probably win the FWSS as a team...
 
Just too bad that the tournament is not seeded like the NCAA tournament - Give CP, Brownsburg, CG & ? the #1 seeds and send them to the four corners and so on.... There were quite a few wt classes last year out of EVSS that was 3 or 4/4 Moorseville Regional placers for SQ...

even if Perry and Warren never return to the programs they were in 2003-2019, the sheer depth is going to make that a tough road for those teams just to make Semi-state 
 
Maybe (emphasis on the maybe) even deeper than Mooresville overall who has

Decatur Central
Pike
Mooresville
Martinsville
Greenwood
Whiteland
 
The edge at the top would certainly go to Mooresville but I’d put the 2nd-5th placers at this regional up against any in the state.
 
 
 
 

Some quick thoughts/questions that come to mind right after reading this news.....
 
 
 
Soooo just not gonna fix the Mooresville (semistate) problem? 
 
Just gonna keep two of the nation's best teams in the same regional. 
 
How does franklin community get to move clear down to Jeffersonville.  Indian Creek goes to Bloomington. Center Grove, Greenwood, and Whiteland go to Mooresville. All from the same county.
 
Some sectionals still have 8 or 9 teams in it while others have 12/13. 
 
13+13= 26 (Jennings county/ Jeffersonville)
 
8+9= 17 ... that's a whole sectional worth of teams difference.
 
Honestly I know it'll never be "perfect" just seems like a missed opportunity.
 
The indy school shake-up is also interesting with Cathedral and Perry/Southport.
 
Makes the "city tournament"  matches a little more relevant. 
 
Poor Rochester I feel like they have moved back and forth several times. I know they are right on the border... but still.
 
Ft Wayne Snyder lost some hammers, Rochester leaving as a team... we will get a new semistate team champ. Jimtown?
 
Tippe valley and Rochester are really close.
 
Speaking of small team HAMMER'S  tell city goes clear up to Bloomington.... but franklin goes to Jeffersonville.
 
Do high-school coaches sit on this board? 
 
Lawrenceburg should go to Evansville (maybe not)
 
Brownsburg should be in Ft. Wayne semistate. (Maybe not)
 
Gonna be fun year..... wonder how this changes the coaches association team state race.

Hockaday over Ashton Jackson 11-2. If you get a chance… watch Jake’s matches from this week. Kid has matured physically and now has another gear. It’s scary. 

I knew before I even watched it,that Coach Morgan was the one that caught the weight issue…..nothing gets by that dude. 

I think we are currently discriminating against big kids and are open to a discrimination lawsuit (anyone work for the ACLU). My son is 6’7, 325. I think it’s dangerous for him to cut to get to 285 and I won’t allow it.
 
Show me any other sport where a kid is not allowed to play (I know some are difficult, but they still have an opportunity to tryout). This 285 cap is just plain wrong.

Does Evansville have a Portillo’s and or Popeye’s: asking for a friend?? Are there any Aviaries or bird sanctuaries.  My owls, hawks, osprey, and falcons will need a place to stay. Can’t leave’em in Elkhart. Although I bet the vermin count is high here. The last time I went to Evansville I kept saying Zirklebach to everyone I saw. They knew Gabe but didn’t know why I kept saying Zirklebach.  They didn’t know but I was 17 and only knew German, French and Swahili: No Evansvillese.  So I thought if I said Zirklebach and nodded and tossed in a Weinzaple they would decipher what I was trying to convey. God knows I couldn’t cut thru the dialects.  I thought I was in West Virginia for a few hours. Side note. I went to Manchester College.  I ate more Pizza King than I’d like to admit over those 4 and a 1/2 years. Haven’t had a slice since 1996. That stuff should be handled by Hazmat.

I don't think any two Pizza Kings are the same, there are a few up here in God's country and they are all drastically different, but usually solid.

Will be interesting how the Ford Center staff will handle shaking down everyone at the gate, can't wait to see some Region Rats go off as they get frisked and told they can't bring in a pack of gum even... might be worth the $25 Ford Center box of popcorn to watch...
 
Hopefully the Ford Center staff lightens up, they open more entry points and modify the outrageous concession prices. After the EvSS this year, made a deal with myself that was the last time visiting Evansville... I imagine the live stream prices will be even higher than the price of a Ford Center hotdog and Coke, but at least only have to pay that once...
