Indiana has 4 wrestlers in Final X Freestyle. Nick Lee 65 kg Mason Parris 125 kg Sarah Hildebrandt 50 kg Kayla Miracle 62 kg It would be cool to see all 4 make the US team. What is the most Indiana wrestlers on one world team? Both Lee & Parris have extremely tough tasks in front of them. I kind of expect both Sarah & Kayla to get it done, but they are far from garanteed. I don't follow Greco, so if Indiana has anyone there can someone post it.

For those that don't follow women's wrestling that much, Sarah Hildebrandt has made 5 Final X appearances and has yet to give up a single point! She posted wins of 8-0 and 11-0 today to earn yet another World Team spot. Kayla Miracle also swept her 2 matches, 6-1 and 10-3 and earned another WT spot. Mason Parris looked much better in his first match against Gable S. but couldn't break through, losing 6-2. He wasn't overwhelmed, but there was really never a time you felt like Steveson was in peril. His 2nd shot is coming up.

Lee beats yianni in Match 1 7-6. I thought Nick looked really good. Going to be a tight one in match 2 for sure

I do think Nick has a chance, but he'll have to be at his best. Duh! My guess is Yianni finds a way, but am rooting to be wrong. The crazy thing about Mason and his lack of success against Gable is the styles. Against every one else, Mason is quick, explosive and very strong. Against Steveson he looks slow and weak, like a completely different wrestler. Credit to Gable for that. On a slightly different topic.... How would Gable be looked upon right now if he took Silver at the Olympics rather than Gold. There is a very real argument to be made that he should not have won and the referee erred in that match. Freestyle doesn't allow for you to just let a guy up and give up par terre position. I'm not trying to undo history, but I think it's fair to wonder "what if". Would he have come back to wrestle at the next Worlds? Would that have changed his college decision? I certainly don't know the answers if there even are any...

You're full of sh*t. You have no idea what I think, other than to fail to read and interpret what I say incorrectly. To bring MD into this means you had a preconceived notion of what I think. Sadly, it's not accurate.

Not a world-beater by any means, but definitely the best option for the Hoosiers next year. His little brother is currently ranked #2 at 195 and committed to Ohio State. Hopefully a change of scenery along with the guidance of Lefever and Dixon can lead to some important wins next year.

Looks like he was 9-8 in D1 matches last year as SDSU's 3rd best 184. Wrestlestat has him as the projected IU starter and ranked #49 in the country headed into next year

That's what boosters are for. But I do agree, Penn State has been getting high end transfers because of their wrestling cachet. The dynasty isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Going to be an Iowa vs Penn State sport. Maybe Oklahoma State still has some Pickens $ left. Doubt WB puts much into Nebraska. Not sure how my Gophers are going to compete. Guess Michigan & Ohio State will benefit. Can't complain against Michigan as a Michigan football fan.

I definitely hate it for a school or program, to bring a kid into their ,program by a vigilant coach ,where he was a relative unknown, and give him a stage to perform, and then stolen by a coach who knew nothing about him. Because he has money. Lazy man recruiting.
