Parris rolling into the Semis, the big rematch with Cohlton Schultz won't happen unless Mason drops his next round. Kharchla from Ohio State gets hit with a Dylan Ness esque move and gets pinned in in 37 seconds. South Dakota State is having a solid tournament. I didn’t see him. May be banged up. Hate to speculate tho. Btw… that tournament is amazing. Crazy tough and physical. Lots of Indiana guys. Crazy seeing those guys looking like middle aged men after seeing them all grow up. Good time for sure, if you guys ever get a chance to attend. $40 for the whole weekend. Vegas was packed. Nobody told me that there was Rodeo world finals and pac 10 championship here. Saw a cowboy pull out a lasso and rope a random lady yesterday tho!!! SIACfan Posted December 12, 2022 Share Posted December 12, 2022 I searched on the Bucknuts board & nobody there knows what is wrong with Mendez. One person said he was on the plane to Vegas & he was in the pre-seeds for the tournament. Then was a late scratch. Then Bouzakis wrestled against Kent State this past Friday. They are all hoping his injury isn't serious. But it seems to me that if he was on the plane & included in the pre-seeds for the CKLV & was such a late scratch that maybe it is just illness. But I obviously have no clue & am merely speculating. But the flu has been widespread & obviously a positive covid test would sideline someone for a while. Didn't say anything concrete, just mentioned his elbow had been bandaged/wrapped and hoped he just needed a little time to heal up. The new rules for true freshman do give teams more flexibility on match lineups and red shirt options. Be interesting to see how things play out.
