Jacob Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 onngrats to all the Champions from yesterday!!!Especially to Andrice Martin the 120# Campion...He wrestled his butt off..I think he and Kinney have split 50/50 over the last two years. Every time they go at it, it is a battle and an exciting match to watch. Great Championship match with Sparks as well...Great job Andrice,,,He pretty much told me there would not be any opportunities for a repeat of the match at CCC...Again great job to all the kids who put it out there and left it all on the matt. Congrats to Perry on another victory, it is hard not to root for you but it is almost instinctive in order to even things out...Truly an awsome team... Thornton Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 8 May be record for champs at the Marion County tournament. the 2005 LN team had 10 in the finals with 6 champs and scored 303.5 points besting second place Warren Central by 79! Congrats to PM and Coach Tonte! The 2006 Perry Meridian team had 9 in the finals with 5 champs and 4 3rds and scored 317 points to beat 2nd place Warren Central by 66 points. That was 13 out of 14 in the top 3, with the 14th guy getting 6th. In 2007, Perry placed all 14 with 7 champs, 3 2nds, 1 3rd, 2 4ths and 1 5th to total 310.5 points and was 82 points clear of 2nd place Lawrence North.
