Roncalli

If they wrestle on Wednesday like they wrestled this past Saturday, they will do fine, and should make it to Team State. If they dont wrestle well, then New Castle is going to be a real tough out for them. New castle has a heck of a team, and they match up well where Roncalli is strong. If NC gets wins two in the 103-125 range, they will win going away. If Roncalli sweeps those matches then it is going to be a great dual meet. Bonus points are going to decide this one in my opinion.

I have it with New Castle winning by 13, but a lot of crazy things can happen

NC:  103(campbell is a monster)  112 (mullins just too tough) 130 140 145 152 160 215 HWT( beat bell once, maybe twice??) =36

RON:119(kief  shows up big)  125 135 171 189 =23

145 is a toss up,  152 , so is HWT, so is 135, and  171 and 189

RAGUOC79, do you happen to have the rosters of both teams? And you are correct, if NC wins at both 103 and 112, it will be very tough for Roncalli to pull out a win. They would need a few upsets, and quite a few bonus points to get it done. However, Roncalli was wrestling very well this past Saturday, so I would not bet against them, it should be a great dual. I do think the winner makes it to Center Grove.

The last time Roncalli met New Castle was Dec.13 at NC. I believe the match went into the last matchup with Roncalli ahead and then losing by 2 pts.I can't remember the entire New Castle line-up so I won't predict a final score but I do see Roncalli winning this time. The Roncalli team has really improved thru-out the year and I expect the NC boys have also.I just feeI like our boys did not wrestle their very best last time and they are going to be ready to advance.

This team match-up alone will be worth the trip to Seymour and the Rebels advance to Center Grove!!

New Castle won the first match against the Rebels but Roncalli?s much tougher schedule should help them.  The Rebels must win as many matches from 103 to 135 since they really drop off in the upper weights.

Roncalli

103 ? Aaron Davis (31-7)

112 ? #5 Josh Kieffer (32-4)

119 - #5 Justin Kieffer (36-1)

130 ? Colton Dickey (25-10)

135 ? Ben Kane (15-15)

140 ? Tim Jackson (??)

I believe Roncalli lost to New Castle earlier this season, please do not quote me on that one, does anyone know if that is true?  As Odom said New Castle matches up great with Roncalli in the 103-125 which should make for a real exciting dual meet, look for an upset or an unexpected pin to swing momentum either way, too close to call, could come down to criteria.

Mulins was up 13-1 when he got kicked in the head. Rung his bell pretty good, he just made sure he didn't gett urned after that, it was take down and cut for Kieffer the rest of the match. Mullins fought on his feet, but made sure he didn't get thrown to his back by conceding takedowns.

Here is to a speedy recovery for Mr. Campbell. I cant imagine how he feels right now to be taken out of the tourney by something that was out of his control. I was really looking forward to watching him wrestle in a few weeks after hearing about him for spo much of the year. Let him know that our thoughts and prayers are with him.
