  1. hahaha neither would i but the song gets you pumped.
  2. You can throw Feigert in the mix also if you throw McNamara's name out there. I believe Feigert is the only coach to win County 4x in a row still, though Tonte and Perry have to be getting close to tying or breaking that record. Unless LN over throws them or Roncalli, which doesn't look like it is going to happen.
  3. Phil Collins, "In the Air" Emminem, "Sing for the Moment" Triple 6 Mafia, "It's a Fight" hahaha and whatever Cashe listens to before his match because it definitely seems to be working.
  4. If rankings do mean anything and last years performances mean anything New Castle could crown an almost guaranteed 4 my guess would be about 95% chance, with 103 McKinley or Union County, 119 Wright or Eppert, 125 Cashe 'Money' Quiroga, and 171 Duckworth or Grimes. A few that are up in the air are 140 and 145 with Bennett, McGinley's, Tonte, and Tassef in their they could crown up to 6 or 7 as a semi state.
  5. Cathedral is capable of beating anyone in the state at any moment they are stacked this year. As well as Crown Point. So I wouldn't bet money that its an all Marion County Finals. Best guess I can make and they are gonna be shockers are Cathedral over Castle, I think Castle is gonna ride their high all the way to the finals so long as they don't have to wrestle Mishawaka and Cathedral does.
  6. Coach Tonte is a great coach. His wrestlers handle themselves on he mat with dignity. But Maldonaldo merrillville does a darn good job.
  7. Humphrey could throw anyone at anytime. Greco or Folkstyle didn't matter. Cashe has a pretty sick double. Harris from BG had a nice single. Coyne loved to crank the cross face on top and throw a cradle. Coyne had one of the sickest cross faces I have ever seen.
  8. can't count out Hudgins 160 either from PM, I wouldn't be shocked if he made some noise at New Castle.
  9. I don't know the numbers for sure but I would not be surprised if Steven Bradley did not make the list somewhere. I know he probably definitely made the list for fewest times taken down.
  10. I was just curious who would everyone consider the best scramblers in the state? 119 Keiffer does really well and Johnson-Jones 189 is a pretty good scrambler for being upper weight. Any insight on a wrestle you may have seen this year?
  11. I'll be sure and say a prayer for Campbell. This is very unfortunate.
  12. 103 McKinley over Campbell 112 Nelsen over Hawkins 119 Wright over Raley 125 Cashe over Tsirtsis 130 Harper over Spencer 135 March over Roach 140 Sims over McGinley or Sandefer 145 Bennett over Tassef 152 McMurry over Mosier 160 Runyan over Meyers 171 Duckworth over Grimes 189 Shrewsberry over Dalton or Johnson-Jones 215 Baker over Berry or Kercher 285 Chalfant over Arthur I know that there are some shockers in there but I am just trying to stir up some friendly conversation. I do believe Sims will win the state title at 140. I also would not count out Raley from getting his hand raised but that is a tall order to take down Wright.
  13. I'll agree his mat wrestling could be better. But Cashe is talented. Eppert looks as though he needs to fill out a little more Cashe physically right now could almost jump into a college singlet within a year. But we never really had the chance to see Howe mat wrestle and well he is doing quite well in college.
  14. Warren Central did a great job hosting sectional this weekend also, but I think the best place that hosts a tournament I have been to yet is Perry Meridian. They run the tournament smoothly, little or no problems if any with the scorers at the table. Also plenty of room for people to stand on the side rails out of everyones way and watch the wrestling matches. So congrats to both and I look forward to Perry Regional this weekend.
  15. Phelps looked really good this weekend wrestled tough and seems like him and Robinson will be a great finals match. So perry has a different 119? What happened to their 119 at the start of the season? Anyone know for sure, did he just get beat out by a wrestler who started the season on JV?
  16. I believe Roncalli lost to New Castle earlier this season, please do not quote me on that one, does anyone know if that is true? As Odom said New Castle matches up great with Roncalli in the 103-125 which should make for a real exciting dual meet, look for an upset or an unexpected pin to swing momentum either way, too close to call, could come down to criteria.
  17. Bring up the weight class 152 Mosier has a great record and is wrestling amazing with I believe 33 of 34 matches being pins. Does he have what it takes to beat McMurray in the finals match? Or will Mosier even get to the finals? Just looking for opinions because it looks like Mosier and McMurray are going to meet and some sparks could fly making for a great finals match.
  18. Perry does have a great chance of sending all wrestlers to semi-state they work really hard and they all know how to win. A few key matches to watch are 119 I do believe Sevee Duncan BG placed higher at Capital City Classic than PM 119. But that will be a great match. Plus Perry's HWY looking at their bracket from Decatur Central they did not have near as much competition based on records as WC sectional did. But as I said I would not be surprised at all if Perry sent all 14 through they all work very hard and they all know how to win and will continue to get better. Great job PM for advancing all 14.
  19. This one is going to be a great bout. Castle is on fire right now and wrestling great but we all know what EMD brings to the table. It is very tough to bet against EMD and that is who I am going with. If the earlier regular season match up means anything then EMD could walk with this one. I would guess from what I have seen of EMD this season that they will win by 6 or 7 over Castle. Both young teams and both going to continue to get better.
  20. Counting Lights you are correct, neither Kesterman made it out of sectionals this weekend. Which was a shock considering they were both wearing very nice records. But I am not sure how tough of a schedule they wrestled.
  21. 119 is the most stacked weight class this year hands down. I believe that 119 possesses 4 to 5 ranked wrestlers nationally. I know for sure Eppert, Wright, Johns, and (Brooks or Kenney) all were ranked nationally correct me if I am wrong. Plus Keiffer can wrestle with any of those guys if he is on fire that day. It will be interesting to see how state turns out... Do we have a definitive answer on what weight Raley is going? I have numerous friends that wrestled at state that have told me this kid is legit and at 119 could make some real noise, or even 125 for that matter. From what I have heard an seen of this kid he is someone you cannot sleep on because he is highly capable of wrestling under the lights this year again.
  22. Cashe is highly talented and wrestles smart as well. I was not intending to compare his career as a whole to Howe's but as far as this season Cashe has wrestled as tough as schedule as anyone and bumping up weight classes to beat the best. Reece was amazing and Cashe has not yet wrestled an equivalent, but Cashe just flat out did work this season. This is a side note and off of topic but do you think this is the year Taylor March gets his first place ring? He is definitely talented enough, and he has the finals match experience could this be the year?
  23. I do not know if any teams have had practices but Roncalli as well as BG were out of school today and yesterday. So conditioning could play a huge role in the matches this weekend.
  24. But as far as my 125 state pick I do believe the finals will be Jason and Cashe... This seems apparent to most everyone but I would have to pick Cashe this seasons Resume is totally amazing and Cashe is the defending champion. You never know how a freshmen will react under the lights of state, but if anyone can overcome the pressure it would be Tsirtsis.
  25. This kid is a stud but I wouldn't bet against Cashe this year. The kids bumping up weight classes to wrestle the best wrestlers possible and continues to win. I believe Jason does have a shot at winning and will probably most definitely be in the finals, but Cashe is wrestling like a man possessed and is coming off a dominating performance last year against EMD Weinzapfel. Cashe looks like a lighter weight Andrew Howe except not nearly as many tech falls. But like I said I wouldn't sleep on Jason nor would I bet money against Cashe two great wrestlers both capable of shocking the wrestling world.
