  2. for the record Indy Nationals has had and implemented this policy since the inception. however it is suppose to be weigh ins from an other national or high school sanctioned state finals event.
  3. Its hard enough to keep young kids motivated to stay involved with youth wrestling. I say leave all of the qualifying to the big boys in IHSAA. A lot of kids look forward to going to state. That's the prize for all of the hard work. I would like to see a true second though. For those who get stuck with a large bracket just be thankful for the quantity of participation. The more numbers involved in youth wrestling equals more middleschoolers equals more high schoolers. Not to mention it is a huge fundraiser for the ISWA. Which has made significant changes and runs an awesome efficient tournament.
  4. I remember when Lance first took over the Roncalli program. Congratulations Lance and the rest of the Rebel coaches on building a first class program.
  5. Congratulations Reece Humphrey won Bronze after losing first round to Russion who won
  6. Team IN Gold MS did awesome. Undefeated Leaving as back 2 back Champions. Just showing the level of wrestling in Indiana is growing every year. They had especially exciting dual against Illinois in the semis who lost to MI by two. Indiana Gold only gave up 9 points against MI in the finals. Team IN Gold elementary took 4 th in a very tough bracket along with Team highway taking 5 th I believe. Great job boys. Brandi will probably post more results as far as individuals and The other IN MS team after she catches her breath.
  7. Brian Wagner New Pal 170 14 sec pin 12/3/11 against Richmond
  8. Really good match Todd over Campbell 2-1 Also really good match Campbell over Wagner NP. 4-2
  9. Forest Glugoski. sorry if I miss spelled Jack Chastain
  10. Very excited to have him coaching again this year at New Pal and good luck on your run for US Senate.
  11. That would be Cash. Like Money. Cashe wrestles in the big leagues now.
  12. Congratulations Reece. Keep it rolling
  13. There are shirts and a cool poster at Humphrey wrestling. Com . Proceeds go towards Supporting Reece and helping him achieve. The dream
  14. Congratulations to Stevan Micic undefeated and Wesley Bernard undefeated.
  15. I wish I could say Tommy beat Noah Teaney but that was an alternate for Noah.
  16. how many of the Gold team were champions at qualifier ?
  17. Coach Ester ran a great room at New Pal last week and definitely showed some good drilling techniques also
  18. The ISWA has been listening and has made several changes in the past few years. I especially love that they are doing matside pairings now. I think the kids love the podium. My sons bracket and or mat ran great this weekend and the only kids I seen waiting for extended periods of time between matches were those that multiple byes.
  19. WOW Ive seen people really read into something and make complete nonsense out of something said before but this is a really a far stretch. I dont think 105 down to 103 is a huge cut or is it implied in her statement. Where was the attack on Josh"s technique ? Im pretty sure Josh was invited on the team as the 105 lb spot because Tommy was 90 or 95 but she would remember better than me. We always thought highly of Josh and wish him luck this weekend
  20. NO . I don't think Nathan has even been scored on this season and I'm pretty sure he trains with some pretty good partners. but Micic is favorite for sure next year . He is most definetly the smallest 103 this year but would not count him out of any match this weekend
  21. I think Mason Todd is a strong consideration But Brian Harvey has to be one of the toughest young men around. You cant beat his heart.
  22. I personally am not for seeding our tournaments but in favor of a true second in Folk style. When building a team or teams 1 and 2 are all that really matter. Seeding a tournament can be a very treacherous ordeal at the youth level. As far as free style goes, vertical pairing does that for you. I personally don't understand the camp unless it is for making sure the wrestlers are on weight before the tournament. They have already proven they have the skills or they wouldn't be there. One of the most important aspects to making these teams for the kids is the gear. Just ask USA wrestling how the kids feel and act about their singlets. I am very happy that ISWA is taking a proactive approach to our wrestling programs and looking for feedback from the wrestling community. I look forward to being apart of Indiana continually growing and moving forward. I believe we have made a lot of progression in the past few years and the ISWA has made an effort too listen and deliver. I am still hoping for kids to get to wrestle out of their division in some way. Age or Weight.
  23. Another Awesome Tournament from our neighbors from the north. It was a pretty good turn out for the first year and I really liked the round robins for 6 or less. Good mat time to start the season. Thanks to Coach Moss and my Old HS Ben Davis for all of the hard work they put in. Great job to Austin McCloskey , Austin you looked awesome. Ryan Ford , Evan Loe and Kayla Miracle also wrestled great. That is just a few.
